So many good goals, sad what's happened to him tbh.

He said in his book how he did a ton of work after training every week with the (at the time) LFC GK coach, analysing the next teams defenders and keepers, working out which side the keeper is poor on, working out runs and positions to take up against the CB's etc.

Once Rafa left, and so did the GK coach, Torres ability to score goals has been slowly going down the swanny.

It is sad looking at that video though, I don't think there's been a more complete 'proper' Nr9 in the PL since Henry.

Nah Torres at his best was more comparable with RVN than Henry. Henry was never an orthodox no 9.

He's been out of form for far too long now though, doubt he'll never get it back tbh

Great video of Torres, there are few forwards (if any) better than him on his day.

If he had his 'day' often, £50m would have been a snip. It's painful to watch him at Chelsea at the moment. :(

Thought a much needed rest over the summer would do him the world of good given he didn't have more than a few weeks off since joining Liverpool but he continues to look a shadow of the player we all know and love/hate. Hope it continues :D

Gaitan isn't worth that money. we should have bought mata or silva you know, someone who is quick, technically gifted etc instead we end up with potentially gaitan, where did it all go wrong. Fergie is quick/50/50 on 30million transfers in terms of success.

Wayne - good
Rio - pretty good

Veron - bad buy
Berbatov - really bad buy

which way will this one go?

How much was kleberson again????

rumours that Utd have increased their interest in Gary Cahill

As long as Utd arent ripped off (ie the rumoured £8m is the final price) that woulldnt be a bad buy imo due to current situation. Evans has been ok recently but his spot would be the most under pressure (obviously with Vidic out for the season, and Jones and Smalling playing in different positions for the most part) Im guessing it would be between Rio, Evans and Cahilll for the rest of the season and Fryers (sp?) potentialy

Cahill's got a brilliant agent hasn't he :p

Would it be that surprising given Rio's questionable fitness (but at least he is pllaying better so far)?

Utd can probably get by, dont get me wrong, but given how unlucky we are with injuries in general in the last couple of seasons - its not impossible either

The highlight of that post is rating Ferdinand as "pretty good".

Spending 30mill on someone (or 28) who gets banned for 9 months for missing a drugs test and who injues himself by putting his leg up on a coffee table?

Im not rating how good the player is, but the value of the transfer. When your talking such huge sums of money, minimum expectation is that they will be a great player, the next question is how often do they play etc.

Yeah Berbatov was a really bad buy.

He wasn't top goal scorer last season was he.

Yea mang, top goal scorer, not on the bench for the cl final. Dropped hopelessly in form inbetween goal gluts. Really good buy for 30 million sure. And given inflation etc its not far to say that the spending of say 30 million on someone like Aguero would be better spending of the money (i know we wouldnt have bought him 3 years ago) but its just indicative of what you can do with this sum of money. Berbatov is old, not massive resale value. Doesnt really fit in with the gaffas plans, and therefore becomes a bad buy.

We should sack Fergie too, apparently he's terrible too.
