Apparently both Balo and Dzeko out for Sunday along with Yaya, Kolo and Barry.

Shock recall for Tevez?

100% need to bring in a 4th striker now. Unless we can bring back Guidetti.

So that leaves you a midfield 5 and striker of....

Nasri, Milner, De Jong, Villa, Johnson
Aguero

Boo freaking hooo. No, the reason you already have so many strikers is so that when some are out you have cover, which you have. So in just about the worst possible injury hit squad, you can still put out a midfield/strike combination better than anyone else in the league.

Yeah, maybe you tweak that a little, maybe its a 4-4-1-1 with Villa behind the striker, whatever, you have more than enough players and honestly if you can't beat any team with that midfield, you're doing something wrong.

For me Kolo has been very good in defence, Yaya has been looking tired as hell lately and even in the Liverpool win he didn't look like controlling midfield, so I'd be resting him even if he was available. Barry was so utterly inept against Liverpool that without a red card, De Jong should be starting instead, and Aguero the rest are all pretty much starters anyway.

Alright calm down.
I wasn't posting it complaining. I was just saying the players that are out so we are down to 1 striker which no matter what midfield you have isn't great because if Aguero breaks his leg tomorrow at training we are playing someone like Cole.

Yaya always looks like that? and didn't control the midfield  what game were you watching? he bossed the Liverpool midfield.

Inept? you are clearly watching a different player than me and every other City fan is watching. It was sad that he was sent off. He has been our 2nd best player of the season and is pushing Silva for top spot after he has gone off the boil recently.

NDJ in every game he has played has looked terrible and has really shown that when you compare him to Barry in midfield you can see just how much he slowed us down last year.

PS: Nasri is unlikely to play also apparently. My guess is that Kolarov will come in.

Is that **** really claiming he knows stuff after the summer? I thought he even came clean and admitted it was bs (well admitted that he was fed bs)? It's just a coincidence that this Gomis stuff is all over twitter and now he knows about it.

I might have to make a rare appearance on RAWK just to call him a ****.

Honestly, did you actually watch the Liverpool game, outside of the first 15-20 minutes Liverpool had more possession and walked through your midfield like it wasn't there. Barry was absolutely horrific in that game, he gave it away constantly, his passing was bad and every time a Liverpool player went near him he fouled.

Yaya has looked tired for 4-5 games, and coincidentally City have had trouble keeping possession and creating attacks outside of the first 20 minutes of games.

Almost every news website, every football website seems to have pointed out City couldn't dominate games recently, most pointed out how bad Barry was and that Yaya hasn't been up to the standard of ealier this season.

In reality Yaya, Silva haven't been anywhere near the first 1/3rd of the season form in the past 4-5 games and Barry, City fans are getting caught up in the "Fletcher was crucial to us" trap. IE team does great, fans don't notice who is crap because the team is too good and covers up their lameness.

Yaya dominated against Liverpool, it really is laughable, he was instrumental but for a total of about a minute, if that, one corner and one run, Yaya didn't do a whole hell of a lot else in that game, and dominate midfield he most certainly didn't do.

Watch it again, with a critical eye, ignore the result and look at what happens between the goals. Barry was abysmal in that game and Yaya looked tired, as has has done for multiple short spells with City, when he joined and he seems to have an "off" game quite often where his runs are sporadic at best and he's no where near as involved. Other games he piles forwards dozen's of times a game.

hmm Newcastle have a bid turned down for Benjamin Corgnet a French DM. Could the rumour be true of Tiote to Chelsea?

Big article about Fergie wanting Lampard in the mail today, hope to **** that is wrong :/

You do know Lampard is a so far ahead of all of your central midfielders that he'd be a MASSIVE improvement for them. Hell, you have the offside kind, if you have someone actually capable of spotting him early enough and passing him in behind before he is offside.... Lampard can easily do that.

If he's also looking to get out from under the apparently insane AVB and he just wants first team football he might well accept a significantly lower wage to do so.

Random manager decides Lampard is too old, drops him, they suck and every time he plays he gets an assist or a goal or the winner and AVB seems to get more upset. Lampard couldn't have proven more clearly that he is one, a game winner, two no where near "past it" and three, would improve ANY team in the league, bar none.

It was funny when someone posted his summer timeline

I do agree he is better than what we have now, but he's also 33. It's not a long term option and I'm sure we'd have to pay a lot more than he's worth considering how many years of top quality football he likely has left.

Considering AVB seems to hate him, and as said, he seems to be unhappy at randomly being benched because AVB has something against him, he'll likely be cheap, you don't ask for big money on 33year old players, let alone ones you seem to want out. Look at how much it seems anelka, Alex and Drogba will be leaving for, next to nothing.

I'd still think he'd not want huge wages, and a 2 or 3 year contract, you can't lose really. Infact someone that old on a cheap deal is a massively better option than Sneijder, who would want wages on par with Rooney and a huge transfer fee and has too many years left.

I think lampard will expect to play a few less games a season from next year onwards, and that will likely be as Cleverley plays more and more, and Cleverley doesn't really have another Scholes type player to learn from in the squad now that everyone has gone.

Sneijder is over rated, over paid and over priced, there is no upside to getting him in all honesty. Rooney's wages are likely already a problem in terms of getting more players in. I'd literally replace 1/3rd of the team with simply better players on the same wages. But like Wenger, there is a reason Fergie has kept guys like Carrick, Anderson and Evra around, he thinks they are good enough and doesn't think they need to improve. Like Wenger, he thinks Diaby is good enough so throws him a new contract rather than getting rid of him and getting someone better.

Seriously though on the subject of Henry, what is Wenger's problem exactly or Arsenal's problem with deals and taking longer than everyone else for every deal we ever do.

Several players like Macheda and others had all transfered in to play in the first games of the year, Donovan as well. Henry may or may not be registered in time to face Leeds, it has to be done this morning apparently. Why wasn't it done the same time as everyone else. The wheels were in motion everyone else got it sorted early, Arsenal as per usual drag their heels over everything.

With a timeframe on when he leaves, the more he plays the better and warming up in a weaker cup game rather than a harder league game seems the best way to do that. We screw up so many of the simple small things, and just about all the big things :(
