People saying that United should be buying the biggest and best players and the ones they have been signing wouldn't make the Madrid bench.

If Fergie was in charge, right now, I would agree 100% with you.
Fergie would be under no pressure to pull something special out, quickly.
However, Moyes does not have this luxury. He has to take advantage of any transfer window. The Summer 2013 transfer window was a disaster for him.
If he doesnt deliver quick he will be sacked. The Glazers have got too much money riding on this club and they wont have Man Utd turned into a mid-table team, by Moyes or any manager. They simply can't write that sort of money off.

So on one hand you are saying he should sign players that wouldn't be on the bench at Real Madrid and co and then the next he should be signing players because hes' under pressure.

The best players are already cup tied for the champions league or the clubs wouldn't let them go in January except for absolute silly money, PSG money.

You can't have it both ways. The players of Man U quality will have to come at the end of the season. This isn't Everton where he can get a yank in on loan. ;)

Feel free to list players available you would want....

You never know Moyes could have been looking at Pirlo :p...Yeah not likely but good to see him out scouting some decent players!

It's funny reading this thread, every article is taken as the gospel, and if it's listed in more than 1 paper then it's actually a done deal:D.

Not one of the papers or websites claiming this player to that club are right, they know zero, so just take a scattergun approach, one pellet of the 1000 gotto hit the target.

apparently pogba is set to return to utd , would be funny buying the guy you let go for free :p

Fitting.

If Pogba goes to United I'll eat my proverbial hat.

Conte was asked after the match if Manchester United like Marchisio, he said "Until June he doesn't move."

I don't want to wait. Offer more! :(

De Jong Brothers could be joining Newcastle. This month and in the summer.

I expect Siem to replace Cabaye and Luuk to replace Pappis. could be a good move. As I cant see us holding on to Cabaye for 1 more season

Speculation that Utd could lose Januzaj next season if they dont get Champions League......but it is only from Sportsdirect so it could well be hogwash

he has a 5 year contract without a buyout clause so obviously not!

That has nothing to do with it.

IF there was a clause saying the club must provide CL football, and that clause isnt filled one season then there is possibility the club could lose the player ( the amount of money the club might or might not get at this point is irrelevant. its about keeping our best players with the club)

Manchester United reviving Ander Herrera deal and send rep to Bilbao

If Moyes can fire up Herrera I think he could be a magnificent player for us. If.

I have to admit I have gone off Herrera a little....the high price along with his wide fluctuation of form this season, Im just not so sure

Given the clubs situation, CL football isn't guaranteed for next season, and wasn't when he signed the contract a while ago either. I don't think the club would have agreed to a clause such as that unless it applied after the end of next season. Also, that the buyout clause would be rather large, probably more than most clubs would consider paying for someone of his age and current status. I suspect Januzaj is on more money than he ideally should be at his age, but he's very happy to stay at the club and should know full well that this slump won't continue for too much longer. It's not as if he's old anyway.

I really don't think there's anything to this so I wouldn't worry about it. The many Manchester based journalists would have got wind of it far quicker than Sports Direct who are barely even a source, let alone a credible one.

I don't think the 'nearly' deal for Herrera did him much good.

No, he hasn't been the same player for Bilbao since that and has struggled quite a bit it seems. I think he probably has his heart set on joining so why not finish the deal off? He's a relatively young player which is always a risk but anyone who's watched him says there is a LOT of potential there to be unlocked. The few times I've seen him over the past couple of years I've thought he looked very good usually.

Whats everyones thoughts of a possible return for Eduardo to Arsenal?

Could it be another fantastic resigning of a former player aka like flamini?

How old is Eduardo? must be into his 30s i believe?
