I was referring to those fixtures you listed as being easy, not calling you something :p

As good as Giroud has been for us his pace and shooting accuracy are awful. We need an actual goal threat up top.

If we had a more clinical striker against city, we'd probably have scored at least one of the three chances Giroud had. All ifs and buts though.

We really do need to bring in a striker in January

I do think a more clinical striker is needed, but I think the whole team is more dangerous in front of goal because he brings them all into it. It would be good to have a way to change the game though, because bringing Bendtner on is never going to change it in Arsenals favour.

This, without a doubt! who knows if we had got the first chance how the game may have gone ..... yes I can dream :D

Agreed, but other strikers out there can do the same thing and score at the same time, whilst I think Giroud is great he is just not top tier, we need a player who can get goals or we will always end up 3rd/4th.

If the lino had been more up to the task, Giroud WOULD have scored at least one more, maybe both.......all if's but's and maybe's now however as you said

Giroud is good at holding the ball up and bringing others into play ie Ramsey most notably but he should be scoring goals as well and it was stupidly infuriating watching him fluff so many chances. And its not something that was happening in the City game, hes been fluffing golden chances the past few games.

Not sure if we will get a striker in Jan as one players will be silly expensive and Wenger doesnt like to spend in Jan. Second there is the danger that if we do get someone like Benzema in Jan, he will be cup tied so wont be able to take part in the CL.

Im just hoping that in our next game and few games after Giroud finds his scoring radar as we need it. If he doesnt then im not joking, stick Bendtner on and see how he fares...cant be any worse than Giroud:p

I don't think players being cup tied is going to be much of an issue after the Bayern game :p

Newcastle linked with a loan move for Zaha. I'd welcome him with open arms, such a wasted talent on the bench for Man U. Somehow I have a feeling Fergie will put a block on it, considering his hatred for Newcastle, would rather he went to a championship side!!!

Good summary! :)

100 million minimum now. He is on course to break all scoring records in the PL, January window so prices are higher, we do not have to sell. Lots of different factors :)

Strengthen teams above us? Sounds like a Moyes move :p

Who cares if we bring in a striker that is cup tied? At least that player will be able to play in the league, giving us a good chance of competing for the league right to the end (if he's any good) and will also help in the FA cup. If we don't bring in a new striker then we'd still be in the same position in the CL i.e. just Giroud up front and without a much needed additional striker for the league.

Stick Bendtner up front? You just said that Giroud offers a lot more for the team than goals so why would we drop him for a player who doesn't have those qualities even though the team is still scoring goals with Giroud playing?

Strange post is strange.

Re: Suarez, when does his contract expire? Will Liverpool's hand be forced this summer if his contact runs out summer 2015?

Not sure. I'd like to see Podolski given a chance up front but there must be a reason why he has never (or hardly ever) played up front for Germany during his 111 caps. They've not exactly been blessed with amazing strikers.

He's shown he can link up well with other players when playing on the left and has a great fist touch and is clinical but not sure what he's like playing with his back to goal.

Basically, we need a striker
