Defenders are a weird breed. You can never really be sure that you are buying a top defender. Mangala has looks pretty average / poor since he started at City. Maybe he will come good but so far he has been ropey.

That is a lot for someone of his age. If he was a few years younger then it would be fine.

If we were selling De Gea I would want to see over £40m. Boys in the top few keepers in the world at the moment and is still very young.

Not sure about that...Top 5 in the premier league sure.
 
He's probably the best shot stopper in the PL right now, I do wonder about his influence on the Man U defence though and how commanding he is. It's something as a fan we can never really tell and I always remember when LUFC sold Schmeichal on because he wasn't a commander in the area, I was gutted at the time as his saves and distribution were top notch.
 
Best shot stopper ? Not sure about that….id have Courtois and Begovic ahead of him for that personally. I think if Madrid are interested then United should be looking at a player deal…possibly looking at a deal like De Gea and money for Isco or Illara.

Certainly a deal to be made...

Some papers are even saying £150m to be spent in Jan (which is never going to happen, we might get one player we actually want in Jan, but majority wont be available , if at all, until the summer)

Cant see any of those named in Jan, on league form the only person who might have left is Mats Hummels, but of course they are still in CL so he wont be going anywhere (at least yet)

Realistic price for those for £130 - 140m?

That would in theory give us quite the beastly defence and midfield however.
 
Rumours that Aguero to Madrid for massive moneys. G.Bale to Chelsea for 80mill...

Be sad to see Aguero leave the prem. Good to see Bale return...
 
Liverpool need a Goalkeeper who's good with his feet and has good distribution, a ball playing CB that knows how to hold his position, a DM that has power and pace and a striker that not only knows where the goal is but can manage to get there in reasonable time.

Overpaying for sub par quality never makes sense. Strootman fkr 12 million makes sense. For 30+ after injury? Are we stupid or something? Hummels super slow, godin too old. Clyne just not that good. ..i don't even know what people are thinking.
