*January Transfer Window 2014/15 Season Rumours/Signings*

What do you reckon to the rumours of Godin then for a January transfer?
would be a good buy just not sure it will happen in Jan.

A colleague doesn't rate Carrick. I think he's the major unsung hero at Utd. He's obviously nearer the end of his career than the beginning but, like you say, Utd's recent resurgence has coincided with Carrick coming back. If the likes of Fellaini/Herrera and perhaps Strootman can fulfil their potential, we could have a decent MC partnership for the first time in a while since we lost Scholes. Has Carrick had any decent MC partners since Scholes retired?

Always liked Carrick, he doesn't get enough credit for the Utd's recent success imo. If we can get someone in like Strootman or even Carvalho (who I prefer to Strootman in many ways) it will give MC a good year to hand over the reins of that role

I don't even see how Carrick fits into the team when everyone is fit. He's been ok but he's been outshone by both Herrera and Fellaini (even considering how bad he was against Soton)

Fellaini isn't even 1/2 trick pony, he may well survive to the summer but it will be depressing if we cant get someone who can actually cover that roll as well as actually pass the ball 90% of the time to the correct player in the summer

Young and Valencia play by default at the moment.

Young missed Crystal Palace and would then have missed Arsenal had Shaw not got broken. Valencia plays because there is no competition. Rafael can't even make the bench.

Carrick may not be outstanding, but he is vastly underrated in terms of what he does to stabilise the team.

I'm no expert but.....

Fellani - dirty player, don't like the fact that he elbows people and is overly aggressive. However, he does add a bit of strength to a small and weak midfield plus he gives us a good option to hoof the ball to and he can hassle people on corner kicks.

Carrick - has the ability to pick out people with long passes and cut open teams.

Handy options to have at the moment, whether Fellani is good for the long-term, I'm not so sure.

Definitely need to replace Valencia, he offers very little. Young too, he can be wasteful in the attacking half but have to give him some credit for not being as crap as last season, so far at least...

Some how rumours of Torres coming back to us have appeared and just no, If was Torres pre us selling him to Chelsea then maybe we need a striker scoring and that isn't him anymore unfortunately

I thought the only rumour going around was that AC wanted to cancel his loan in January and Chelsea would give him to anyone that would take him. How long has he got left on his contract these days because no one is going to pay him anything more than 1/10th of his wages at chelsea.

The Torres rumours are probably just paper tripe -

JM when asked if Milan were intending to send him back -

"No"
"I don't know, but he's on loan for two seasons at AC Milan. He's our player but he's on loan. We have no space for players in the list. Either in the Champions League or Premier League. That's an impossible picture."

"But I have to say, nobody from AC Milan made contact with us thinking about that possibility, so probably nothing is true and, more than possibly, he's happy at Milan and Milan to have him."

It would be great if he did go back to Liverpool though, even he can't be worse than Balotelli:p

Excellent, the Benitez/Torres dream team again.
If anyone can get the best out of Torres it's Benitez, oh wait...

Ravel Morrison to be sold by West Ham for nominal fee

Shame but he looks another player who appears to want 'The Lifestyle' without the hard work. I maybe doing him a disservice here

Unfortunately, despite the talent, he appears to be a bad seed (and perhaps a lazy one too).

If SAF and Big Sam cant do anything (not to mention the loan's as well), there is no hope for the lad.

Could have been a fantastic player if he stayed away from the night life etc
