*January Transfer Window 2014/15 Season Rumours/Signings*

Would love to see Messi in the UK, I think it would be like his world cup exploits.

I don't think he has the physicality (sp) for the EPL.

But non the less would love to see him playing here, although it would be only Chelsea/Citeh that could afford his wages surely?

When was the last time you saw Messi pushed off the ball? You don't need to be big and strong when you have the dribbling/agility/balance/pace, Hazard, Coutinho, Silva, Di Maria all manage fine.

Because Messi follows Chelsea on twitter its a transfer rumour ?? LMAO Hope he doesn't unfriend Barcelona on Facebook or there will be pandemonium.

I do not often agree with Andy (and I cannot put him on ignore), but this is spot on.

Football is not all about physical prowess, as much as Sky/BBC/BT/ITV would have you believe that being big, strong and quick are integral, they really are not. Balance, agility, acceleration, technical proficiency, movement, anticipation, vision are much more important. There are not many 'World class' footballers whom lack in these departments, even strong defenders have excellent movement, vision, anticipation, balance.

Hazard, Coutinho, Silva, Di Maria, Mata, Van Persie, Sterling et al, are not physically strong at all, far from it, however I would argue that they thrive in the Premier League and Messi is superior to them all.

He followed Man City long before Chelsea iirc. Complete non-story.

didnt follow city the day he skipped training and during a week when barcelona is in crisis though did he ?

or even at the start of a transfer window ?

nothing may come of it but its still good rumour material and there is still a story

please define crisis? What the media call crisis (to sell papers/ get page hits) doesn't mean anything

Barca sacked their Director of Football, and they lost a game - not exactly going to tear the club apart.

Seen some talk about an MUFC bid for hummels...hope it's true.

I mentioned soccerisma yesterday, I think telegraph more reliably had today that Utd had made a bid - have you seen anything more reliable?

you dont just sack the director of football for no reason do you, something not good has to be going on ? crisis is probably too strong a word but whatever everthing thats going on combined together definitely makes this a story rather than a non story

Trevor Sinclair is in talks with Man City, West Ham, QPR and Lancaster City...
