January Transfer Window 2017/18

Never heard of this guy lol. Wenger promising Auba world class signings?? Lol how is he going to do that when we are nowhere close to getting a CL spot next season :/.

Meh this reminds me of the whole Higuain saga a few yrs back when every twitter football expert was saying it was a done deal etc etc.
It will fall through I’m telling you. We’re being fed it to keep us placated. Some lame excuse will be offered up from Wenger.

Why are arsenal fans surprised and angry about Sanchez? They seem to be calling him a mercenary because he doesn’t want to spend the last years of his career at the top level playing for a team with 0 ambition. Arsenal have lost almost every top player they have had in the past decade for this reason.
Who is angry? Where angry at Wenger not Sanchez

This Sanchez transfer reminds me of moyes and Woodward first transfer window .if we want Sanchez why not just pay arsenal 30 mill .then sell mhiki separately

I say just get on with it. Sanchez go and stop ******* about.

United just cough up the money or don't bother and waste everyone's time.

Exactly if united want him just sort it then if arsenal want mhiki just sort it and rap it up cus I'm getting bored of it now lol

The latest I'm hearing is that the Sanchez deal is just waiting for Mikhi's agent. Both players and clubs are ready to go, it's just whether the agent is happy with the wedge he'll be getting for doing nothing...

Raiola is well known for being a greedy ****. He got about €25m for the Pogba transfer. Nice work if you can get it.
Yep I feel sorry for any team that had to deal with a player that is linked with him. As you will always have your pants pulled down with Raiola.

If its true that Arsenal, United and the player are happy with the deal, how in the seven hells does the agent have a say?

I always thought an agent was there to faciliate his clients wishes, not the other way around?

I'm probably being niave.

Agents need regulating.
They've been regulated before, it makes no difference. While there's this much money in the game there will always be greedy individuals coming up with a way of getting a cut of it. The issue is the players that leave everything to their agent and have no idea what's actually being negotiated and it's nothing new either.

I can remember from 5+ years back when an agent was interviewed on SSN and was trying to defend agents and the payments they received - this agent was directly asked whether a player ultimately has the final say on whether he moves to a club that may not be willing to pay the agent what he wants and the agent as good as said that if the buying club isn't prepared to meet his demands then the player won't ever find out the offer has been made.

Fwiw, players do need agents. There's so much money involved and highly complex contracts being dished out, they need people that can advise them properly and negotiation on their behalf. Players should be keeping an eye on what's going on though.
