January Transfer Window 21/22

£20 million and out on loan... Shambles.

Potentially a great signing for Rangers but to pay £20 million for a player 12 months ago and he's out on loan is just bizarre. He's either good enough for United or he's not.

Good for the player to get some playing time but £20 million for a player that has literally less than 15 1st team games is madness. Another shocking signing from United.

What a coup. Has some of the best stats in Europe for a DM. This was my main area that I thought improvement needed to happen. To give the defence much needed support. Didn't think we could pull off a signing like that.

Dan and Bakker set to come in that's practicality a brand new defence and a shinny new DM. Very good window if they all come off.

Ugh with just Bruno, tripper and Wood I think we spent more money in January than Mike ever did in 14 years. (January windows)

I woke up at 4am to watch the Australian Open semi's and there was loads of reports coming out of South America and Portugal about this but I assumed it was the usual *******s. We've been strongly linked with him but I didn't think anything would happen until the summer - I can only assume Spurs interest forced our hand.

There were a few reports regarding moves away for Taki and Origi yesterday, I guess this is why.

I know Tombstone will be chuffed if it happens, but I'm not sold on the guy personally.

Edit lots of Liverpool journos reporting this now, looks nailed on.

Could be pivotal that, what a tremendous signing!
The toon have not had a proper midfielder like that in years, been crying out for someone to cover Infront of the shaky defence. If they manage to pull off a decent CB and maybe one more, you never know!

Conte has been clear for a while that we need new signings and to get rid of some of the deadwood. 3 days till deadline day and nothing has happened. Typical Spurs leaving it till the last minute.

Leeds signing no one is a “strategic decision”, not sure how Championship football plays into that but the board are playing a very dangerous game. What a joke. A couple of loans and the fans would be happy not not even that.

Wasn’t it just yesterday that OL tweeted that it was a load of nonsense?

Yup, I'm hoping this proves to be true, I really think that Diaz is a very exciting signing. He has a bunch of potential to become a very special player under Klopps guidance and is quite suited for the premier league in his playstyle.

If the deal isn't fully agreed they have to come out and make a statement due to the ownership/stock market. They did the same with Mendy.

I believe the fee was accepted but the terms and structure wasn't.

Yeah they seem to do it every window. Whilst levy is notoriously a stubborn and strong negotiator, it simply just doesn't work anymore in the current game with so much money sloshing about

It's nothing to do with the stock market, their owner is just a nutcase.

My Lyon supporting friend says Guimaraes is the business but be warned, he said Ndombele was the 2nd coming too.

Just repeating what I seen. They are on the European stock market under OL Groupe, initialled OLG.

He is highly rated and seen in interviews he has the personality to match he's a leader and when things are difficult he's the one to step up and other players lean on.

Diaz to Liverpool huh. My Portuguese benfica supporting work colleague says he's the best player in the league. It's kills him to say it also because it's Porto hah
