To be honest in my adult life I can probably count on one hand how many times I’ve been to see the doctor. I don’t begrudge them a payrise though....all the more junior doctors for you. I'm so selfless too...

I just hope that when the time comes that I may need them they haven’t all been driven away because the NHS has been run into the ground.Well if more people avoided unnecessary or avoidable interactions with the health service there would be more money to go around.

It’s not something I’ve looked into but neither me or my misses are big earners, so while we are certainly not living a life of poverty, we aren’t rolling in money either. If you really want to support the NHS (and can afford it) get private medical / dentist IMO.
I would much rather support the NHS by reducing my own personal demand and pay extra for a better private service than just get taxed more and more to prop up maxed out services.
Let’s all race to the bottom! This attitude is what’s taken the country to the point at which we are now at.If they want the pay increase then their pensions should be cut to pay for it.
I'm not sure if you're serious, trolling, or have a concussion.Meh I'd expect a proper doctor anyway.

"Junior doctors" are fully qualified, and often as experienced as a "consultant".
Or for people to understand really basic stuff. They need a rebrand.

I always planned on moving abroad (menorca on the list so still close to UK mates) when I retired. sadly a new wife who is dead set against it, a new child and now brexit probably put an end to thatI have worked abroad many times, I came back to help people. This time it is a full move.
isn't a junior doctor with x years experience what it says on the tin.... a qualified doctor but only with x years experience so considered junior. No they need a rebrand - I'd imagine if you said junior doctor to most people they would equate it to medical student.
Do you think that 'junior doctor' is a good description or could it be better?
Not quite - as above it can be someone who is nearly at consultant level but the use of the word 'junior' in a medical setting doesn't really instill much confidence, as you say it sounds like someone just out of medical school.isn't a junior doctor with x years experience what it says on the tin.... a qualified doctor but only with x years experience so considered junior.
so equivalent to a PhD graduate with 2 years under their belt.
It sadly does feel like that at the moment.I don't even feel like I have access to a health service at this point, it's pathetic.
The NHS should be fully privatised and change to an insuranced based system.
Train for many years and saddle yourself with a massive debt to become a doctor on £30kWhat is a better job?
Pipe down skippy if you read it properly no tears were shed.stop crying about your pay, change jobs if you are unhappy with your pay...
