Yes, there's a lag, but I'm sure it was hard 7 years ago. They should be banned from striking. You apply for med school at least 6 or 7 years before you earn a penny. Then spend around a decade as a JD.

You called it!As usual Chris hasn't got a clue what he's talking about and is probably figuring out a way to blame imimmigration.
Yes it was. There was a stike just around 7 years ago when the government imposed a contract on JDs. Then further years of pay freezes.Yes, there's a lag, but I'm sure it was hard 7 years ago. They should be banned from striking.
anything to back up your statements or is it just more unfounded bile you read on the side of a bus?The aviation industry knew certain flights from Africa were a high percentage of heavily pregnant women coming to the UK to give birth in our NHS facilities, they even had a fun name for these flights which I forget. They were coming in solely to defraud the NHS and the NHS watched and allowed it to happen. Not the doctor's money being wasted, was it? Bit diferent when it IS the doctor's money being in question. STRIKE! STRIKE!
If I go and see a consultant privately his secretary has my card details before he even lays a stethoscope upon me. NO WAY do I get out without paying. Yet 155 different countries have had criminal patients abscond without paying due to sheer negligence by the NHS.
And yes, you simply don't treat them. Unless you are happy it will never end and for NHS funding to be used ad infinitum by devious criminals?

Over the last three years our household have used the NHS far more than any family should have to, for brain stuff, heart stuff, cancer stuff, regular checkups etc. The only complaint I had was that some of the appointments took rather longer than we'd have liked, but when you come from a country where there is no medical care unless it's private, you soon learn to appreciate the NHS.

That is what I say, enough is enough, the whole country needs to go on strike to change the way it is run.To be succinctly back on point I most sincerely hope Barclay stands firm and those junior doctors who don't like it sod off to their greener, more generous pastures abroad.
Chris wouldn't have to try very hard, would he?
Plus the number of illegal migrants coming ashore daily, around 1000 a day sometimes, has a slow but inexorable effect on alledged dwindling medical services, it would be hard to argue otherwise.
- More than half (60%) of the increase of the UK population between 2001 and 2020 was due to the direct contribution of net migration.
- UK’s population is projected to grow to approximately 72m by 2045
But all is not lost, we are told these migrants are doctors. Engineers. Professional men!
Aren't they?....

Are you? They should be banned from striking.
And you're complaining about seeing a doctor now lol.To be succinctly back on point I most sincerely hope Barclay stands firm and those junior doctors who don't like it sod off to their greener, more generous pastures abroad.
No union and I'd be gone if I went in strikeAre you?
What is it with this race to the bottom in this country.
Bad luck then, shame you don't have a decent union to stand up for you.No union and I'd be gone if I went in strike
My job can be outsourced to Eastern Europe fairly easily and that's what the company does, little by little.
Nothing you ever say comes with any credible sources so to that end...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Source added to my post.
OK, what is your solution? As I said above, its completely untenable to deny everyone healthcare without insurance unless you want to watch people and their children die.
A final reminder. In bright yellow writing. Can we please get this thread somewhat back on topic or i might start issuing thread bans.
