Kickstart classic RPG - Wasteland 2!

Be patient?!?!?! We live in the age of early access games, day one DLC, and unfinished AAA games (*cough* BF4)! Patience is long gone!
 
I paid for the basic tier, so no beta access. What I've seen of the beta leaves room for improvement (particularly the UI, combat and level design), but it seems to stay true to the Wasteland name for the most part.
 
i would like to get it as it looks similar to old fallouts , but beta is different from completed game ? also it pretty expensive for a game 45 euro .

They have some similarities (Fallout also has a few references to Wasteland), but Wasteland and Fallout are ultimately different takes on post-apocalyptic America.

I wouldn't bother paying for early access. Fargo appears to be using it for additional funding so I have to wonder about InXile's project management...

Fallout was the spiritual successor to the original Wasteland and yes, it is a bit pricey but it's to keep the price in line with the original early access tier from Kickstarter (though I don't know if the final price will be lower).
 
I wish I knew about this earlier. Id of been all over the kickstarter. Ive gone ahead and paid £35 for the beta, expensive I know but after watching a few youtube vids I had too!

Anyone playing? When is it expected to be finished?
 
Looking forward to this too ( giving Archeage a bash whilst I wait - when I can log in ). Never played the original Wasteland, but absolutely loved Fallout 1 & 2. I never signed up for the beta/early access so have no first hand experience of the game. Hoping it's as good as it sounds !
 
Typical of my luck. The game I've been waiting for gets released this morning, but I'm moving house tomorrow so wont get a chance to play :(
 
Can't believe it has been 2.5 years since I made this thread. Time flies.
Super excited to play, review are good, steam is ready, now just to get off work.
 
Eh, early impressions are somewhat mixed. The engine is odd, worse graphics than Divinity, higher requirements.
No buy for now.

Played a fair bit today. It is pretty good. The camera is really awkward though.

Also, stats and attributes seem pretty pointless(but far from worthless, there is some good implementation in certain situations) tbh, as with 4 characters you can easily cover all the bases from the start. You could probably do pretty much everything with 2. Plus you meet characters who can join you that add more as well!
