This is something I have my eye on, just launched.

Halcyon by Photonstar.

Photonstar are a UK-based LED lighting manufacturer, designing and manufacturing their LED lamps in the UK. Their product is very high quality, and they also have some very cool technology, called ChromaWhite, which is a LED-based lighting solution that can accurately mimic how natural daylight changes throughout the day.

The Halycon product will bring this technology to the domestic market, and at a reasonably affordable price too it seems.

I'm still making my mind up whether to back it or not...£250 is the worthwhile entry point I think, and it's a fair bit of money.

But ouch at £250
And also it neglects to say if you can alter the time. I don't want it synced to whats happening outside, as i do shift work, i want it synced to my day.

I'm pretty sure you could set it to what ever colour you wanted, any time of day that you wanted. If you're really interested I'll ask them about it when I meet with them later this month.
 
I've already emailed them, and you can set the time however you want.

But £250 :eek: certainly cant afford that at the moment. Shame its so expensive as i do want something like this.

I really like that bulb stuff. The philips stuff is what, 90quid a bulb or something mental, so this isn't actually that bad when you get the "server" and 3 bulbs. I'd want more bulbs though, and then that's another 94quid for 3 more. Hmmm will watch it though.

Browsing more now.

I was really tempted to start my own.
 
Given that the api for that lighting system is available for developers, it'd be really cool to make an xbmc plugin that dunamically controlls the lighting based on what you're watching. i.e. if an explosion occurs on screen, the whole room goes orange

That does look good, but i don't get how a 4x space game would work in a mmo. 4x game has an end point. Then theres going to be a group who get powerful and will easily take over the galaxy. Need to see more info.

Where games like eve/elite etc as your piloting one spaceccraft you can have thousands of players and not have the same outcome.

That dooes look fun, if it wasnt for the $20 shipping, then almsot certainly customs on top as well as the obscene handling fee by who ever, i would be on that.
 
goPro mount turned up for the capture pro today.

Just need a gopro or something similar now. Although haven't found anything suitable yet.
