I've not seen this behavior so far and clocked in a reasonable amount of hours on it now.

Out of interest does anyone know if this has a service menu with the hours logged data?

Hello

If you go to the last option within settings it tells you power on time.

I had a play for around two hours last night on sea of thieves.
Around 30 mins in my display black screen for about 1 second and resumed without any error or error sound.

So I went ahead and switched off 160hz OC mode and continued the rest of my play issue free.

So over the weekend I want to try 160hz with Freesync disabled and also keep trying tonight 144hz Freesync enabled.

Ah thanks for that, not as many hours as i thought @ 69hrs.

I have mine set @144 and i've also replaced the DP / HDMI cables with longer ones.

Would you mind playing for a few hours with 160hz enabled?
I also changed my cable to a longer certified displayport 1.4

Everything works its just this little annoying black screen lol

Anyone here using this monitor experience random black screen for like a second then display resume like nothing happened.

No event viewer logs or error sounds.

It's only happened while playing games and is happening every day so far.

Mine has done this twice now, once playing Forza Horizon 4 and once on Rocket League, so far, both while playing on PC. Yet, I've not had any black screen when using the Xbox Series X as of yet, My monitor has had 234 hours of use, as of writing this,

I've not yet overclocked the monitor to 160hz.

I don't know if it would be a Displayport / Displayport cable issue or a HDR issue, as the screen went black just for a brief second, when the screen came back, it showed the HDR icon in the top right of the screen, I'm leaning more towards a HDR issue. I'm using a 4 metre Club3D Displayport 1.4 cable.

I actually have an entirely unrelated monitor (HP Z24n G3 from work) that does exactly this, and I'm actually thinking perhaps it's a Windows issue or a display driver issue?
It's a fairly unremarkable (and overpriced!) 1920x1200 60hz monitor running and it does the same over both HDMI and DP, on two different devices (my work laptop and my own PC).
My work laptop has a Quadro P1000 and my home PC has a 3070, so both nVidia but entirely different product lines.

Right thanks for the feedback.

So far very early days but since I switched to 144hz it has not happened yet. More testing is required.

Anyone know of anywhere that does stock alerts for monitors, similar to some of the discords/telegram channels that do them for 3000 series cards?

I've had this black screen issue just this morning whilst firing up a game for a few mins.
I'm only running at 120hz as I'm not on a DSC capable graphics card (1080Ti). So it doesn't appear to be an overclock thing.

In the same vein, I was having some issues with the screen crashing my machine and not being able to set it to 4K/120hz. I was having to set a custom resolution to achieve that and whenever the screen turned off/on it would crash the machine... very annoying when locking the screen!

To resolve this, you have to go into the screens OSD and set it specifically to DP1.4 without DSC. Now the 4k120hz option is available by standard in windows now and so far no crashing.

I've got the 27gp850 and having a few similar issues, if I exit BFV too quickly with hdr on my pc goes mega bright and I have to unplug the power cable to get it to back to normal.

I just spent around two hours Friday night without any issue with the display set to 4k 144hz. But tonight it happened again while playing league of legends..

I really not sure what it could be the fact nothing shows up in Windows or an error sound like a disconnect its making me think my monitor as an issue.

Next step now is to game without freesync for a few nights.

Had black screen again on Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance and on Control, This time, I'd had my monitor on DisplayPort Version 1.4 ( without DSC ) and still a brief black screen when playing games.

OK can you list me you full set up? Multiple monitors?
Are you getting a few seconds black screen then it resumes to normal?

I'm just using the one monitor which replaced my old Asus VP28UQ 4K 60hz monitor, and don't use or have the space for Multiple monitors,

It's just a quick flash of a black screen, for about a second then back to normal, can still hear game audio when the screen go black, it can happen once on a game and not happen again until i switch playing to a different game, but it can happen within the first 10 minutes of gaming or hours later into a game,

I've not yet seen the black screen occur more then once on the same game as of yet.

Right this is just like mine it's so random.

I have a new vesa certified cable coming Thursday to rule out the cable.

You using 160hz mode? It seems to happen more for me in that mode.

Next step for me is turning off Freesync you using amd or nvidia?
