This is a worry with global existing prices increasing but not sure we have seen it just yet with electrical items, gas, electricity, oil naturally maybe food next.

Food has been going up for months, way before Ukraine, plus of course Covid, some Brexit factor but, increased transport costs being most damaging.

yes very true, I meant an even further increase in food prices. I can't tell when electrical items are going to go up but its going to hurt many wallets if it happens unexpectedly.
 
This world has gone to madness. Greed has no limit so food will cost more because of course, you need that. Medicines? Much more expensive than a few Lamborghini's.
Remember when high-end smartphones did cost about 500? Well, it's triple of that. Of course you can get "high end" phone for cheap but it will have a ******** of features downgraded/nerved.

And who said 42" would be cheaper than 48"?? I'll wait for the 42" to be more affordable. I cba to pay €1650 excluding insurance charges. **** that ****!

Oh right I see. I filled the store cupboard up a while because I knew food would continue to go up, fixed energy in October for 2 years, and have suspended all big ticket items. We 'aint seen nothing yet.

It depends on your preferences/possibilities. For me, 48" is the max so 42" is probably the sweet spot. And 42" also have higher ppi and OLED already looks sharp unlike LCD.
The prices on the other hand are absurd but so is for all other things.

If I were to see one for around £700-£750 right now I would really be tempted. All down to price really. No way would I pay C2’s current asking price.
 
Alright so now we cant even discuss LG vs that overhyped AW - even it's mentioned here so many times?
This is a HW forum right. We should be Able to talk freely right, or does the mods over here have an agenda against LG

If I am to take a guess the issue here seems to be more the way you personally go about discussing it.

Like you say the AW one is overhyped. Yet based on what we have seen for gaming it essentially beats every single monitor out there today. But you keep trying to **** on it on every opportunity you get now that you have decided you won't be buying one ;)
 
Exactly. Your posting style is antagonistic/trolling, @MikeLoader. Even now you have to get a dig in, complaining that you can't compare Product A against "overhyped" Product B.

The irony is that when you were planning to buy the Alienware, YOU were also overhyping it (along with every other bloody panel you take a passing interest in).

But it have so many negative - no DSC etc and that a big thing!
But hey we shall talk LG now. Wonder what the price can come to be on the 42 at BF!

And I can be how the h*** I like. it's my wallet and I dont like to put my cash on -IMHO- things that I Think is trash!

As Random Guy said, you was singing the praises of the monitor not so long ago. But just because you don’t like the aspect ratio does not mean it suddenly becomes trash. That’s not how it works. There really is no right and wrong or one size fits all. End of the day QD-OLED is proving to be very good thus far. You will be missing out with your bog standard Samsung G something or the other monitor that costs more ;)
