LG 42-inch OLED

Ace, called them up again and they applied voucher, seems they also kept the earbuds on invoice they sent as listed so be a nice bonus if they come too.

Also mentioned stock is apparently expected this Wednesday rather then today so hopefully by this Friday some people start getting them.
Nice, I sent them a web note and they said I'd have to have my order cancelled (back of the queue) and would no longer get the ear buds, so I left it.

Was thinking to get the LG 42"' inch for PC gaming monitor but not at £1200+, that's more then I paid for LG 55'' CX, can get much better options at lower price elsewhere from Dell, gigabyte and msi.

Rather put the cash towards getting the LG 77'' C2, really 42'' is still too big for a PC gaming monitor imo have old 40'' Sony LCD TV will sit it on my desk and probably laugh at the sheer size of it.

No rush have a good 27'' 1440P monitor will wait till prices drop, looking for a 100% gaming monitor not a TV that can sometimes game on.

Changed my mind as £100 is better than £50 (on Amazon) of ear buds, so I just called them back and placed a new pre order for £100 less (they immediately refunded £100 to my PayPal).

The earbuds are very unlikely to be included.

I'm at the back of the line but he said they'd only had about 50 pre orders and are expecting a shipment of 200 units this week.

This earbuds thing needs to be stopped, so useless and increases prices for no reason.

Anyway, I'm looking for your reviews/experiences when the 42" C2 gets delivered to you! And be careful for LA and LB. LB got the white color.

It would be cool too if you share some pictures how the 42" C2 does look on your desk. I'll be doing that too whenever it's available here. Always nice to see how desk with such tv is organized.
I'm still fighting with myself wether I should get it soon or wait. I mean, my situation is pretty full of bad luck and post-poning it... But it's nice to see some poor suckers ordered it :p

I will do that. Already got a 40" Philips BDM on my desk (or wall mounted above it) and it's a fairly wide and deep desk, so should be OK.

Just ask your self is it worth paying the extra £250 or more to have it now vs Black Friday or there abouts. I would personally rather wait.

Pretty sure the OLED screen will look superior and premium compared to the LCD :P

IKR... Future is unknown so planning usually ends up different so I'll just go with the flow.

I asked myself that and decided that no, it's not worth it (however 'worth' is defined), especially when I already have a 40" screen that works perfectly. Getting it now anyway.

It's not the first time I don't wait on cool stuff, I mean, my other hobby is audio so yeah, you get the idea. Some luxurious headphones next to the OLED screen, hell yeah bitch!
The chance is also small the OLED tv's here will be discounted on Black Friday here and if they do, it would be like €100 off or something. And reputations of webstores is important too.

Good to see I am not the only one with FOMO.
Annoying, isn't?

Haha. Totally understandable guys. Happens to me also. But most of the time I am able keep myself in check which is good for my wallet :)

It's not FOMO I suffer from, its Magpie Syndrome aka Its Shiny and I wants it!!

In fairness I do need a new monitor, the panel on my 32" Benq isnt in the best shape - smears and a mish mash of retained images in the corners.

I've been wanting a bigger monitor since the start of lockdown but the goldilocks panel just didnt exist...until now. My only issue is do I pull the trigger on this or do I wait for the ASUS/LG monitor version.

My other decision to make is do I take advantage of the reducing gfx card prices now or wait for next gen later this year.

I really need to stop looking at the prices every day so my inner magpie doesnt get the better of me.

Argh torn on whether to switch my John Lewis order over to Richer Sounds tomorrow while their £100 off code is available..

Want it as cheap as I get get it of course, but have had the JL order since Feb and they already sent those silly headphones which I’d assume I’d need to send back.

Also would mean not getting the JL extra burn in cover, which I’ve been considering adding on.

Decisions decisions..
