LG Flatron W2600HP 26

How do I go about cancelling my order? I'd rather lose out getting one than have to go through the hassle of sending it back if it's a TN.....
There's no hassle involved. If you don't sign for it—because it's not the product you ordered—then it will be returned to them. However, now I'm looking for a suitable alternative should this one prove not to be an S-IPS panel. I'm torn between getting a 24"—which will be about £440—and getting the proper S-IPS W2600HP from another site for £500-550. It bumps up the price about £200 more than I was planning though, which I'd rather not do with the 5xxx series cards around the corner. Hmmmm.

Let us know how you get on. I specifically sent a webnote right after my order clearly stating that I only wanted this monitor if it was the IPS panel revision 2 so if I end up getting the TN panel I won't be too happy about having to send it all back.

If OcUK have said its the IPS, you receive and open up (as the poster above has) a TN then there will be no hassle whatsoever. The burden as my understanding would be with OcUK to arrange collection of the monitor as it's not as described don't worry.

I'm sure thers a proper explanation for this, if indeed they are EOL/unwanted stock bought en masse from LG then they may have just sent whatever they had in a mixed pallet. On the outside they may have all looked like the IPS version.

As for the order status thing I've had orders arrive before that had changed to out for delivery before.

Seeing this makes me a little more reassured that I went with a pair of 2 2409's instead.

Hope you guys that ordered all get it sorted.

So, has no-one else received theirs yet then? I'm kind of waiting before I phone for a returns number to see if anyone else has received a TN panel too, more out of blind optimism than anything else that this might turn out to be a ghastly mistake and the boxes have been mislabelled or something. :/

Yeah, thought i'd finally found a replacement for my trusty NEC. Alas, maybe back to the drawing board!

Lol, I'm in the same boat mate. Taking the plunge and picking up the Dell U2410 this afternoon (unless I change my mind). Let you know if its as good.

Doesn't look like it. I've been checking with OCUK about twice a day for updates and they keep telling me they have no delivery dates. I think i may webnote them again and link to this thread.

It may have been that the monitors came in, the stock was wrong and a few got sent out before they caught it. You could always plug it in and check the viewing angles, you have 7 days from day of delivery to inform OCUK that you're returning it and you'd still be entitled to a full refund.

Sorry i doubted you last night Davy, but since you only had 2 posts at the time and you do see people stirring on purpose in forums i'm sure you could understand my scepticism!

Have you opened the box and checked the part number on the back of the screen?

I was worried it might invalidate the returns procedure, being obviously opened and all? I want to return it as Not As Described, not under the Distance Selling Regulations as that would meant I'd have pay return postage. :/

Sure, no problem.

Well, i've just posted in the Customer Service forum about my order, i'll let people on here know what reply i get. Davy - it may be worth you posting in there about your problem (i did mention it in my post) as the mods will be able to advise you on what you can do about returning the screen.

Thanks guys for keeping us all up to speed with your orders and webnote correspondence. I really hope this deal isn't too good to be true. With the TN version of this monitor selling for around £300 from other etailers, it seems too likely OCUK may have just ordered misdescribed TN panels. Is someone from OCUK able to confirm that they're definately IPS units and explain why a TN slipped through the net?

Not going to be happy if it is a TN panel.... just settled the card bill for this as well. Slackworth has already indicated that these are the IPS panels, so willing to stay with it for a while.... but not long.

hmmm

well have ordered mine along with new 4890 gpu, corsair h50 and extra xilence fan. OcUk have had circa £1k + off me recently and I trust them to honour their commitment. Advert says s-ips so s-ips it will be. Slackworth has posted to confirm this so thats good by me.

If.... well lets just say I won't be a happy bunny.
