LG Flatron W2600HP 26

If I pre-order from OcUk do they charge your account straight away?

Yes indeed... Can't say I was impressed by that.

Terms:
3. Payment
3.1 Payment for the goods and delivery charges can be made by any method shown on the Supplier's website at the time you place your order. Payment shall be due before the delivery date and time for payment shall be of the essence.

My patience has been considerably lowered. I won't simply leave my money in someone else's hands indefinitely.

I need a concrete date pretty soon...

One buyer from Finland wrote in Finnish PC forum that his order has been shipped so looks like monitors are starting to arrive at least in small batches.

Can the thursday arrival be confirmed or otherwise by someone at overclockers please?

They are not coming tomorrow. OcUK have not got any confirmed dates saying that it will be in stock tomorrow. However, we have got some on the way and it is advisable for customers to pre-order them as they are going fast.

I'd imagine they would be going fast when you're talking about a 26" S-IPS monitor going for less than the cheapest 24" S-IPS monitor - over £130 cheaper. It seems almost too good to be true.

It's NOT an IPS panel

Well, mine arrived this afternoon.

As feared, this deal was too good to be true.

It quite clearly states on the side of the box that the model is a 2600H - PF

Thats a TN panel and not the S-IPS panel as advertised. (IPS panels are 2600HP - BF)
Looks like I'll be phoning tomorrow to arrange a returns as it's clearly not as advertised. I opened the box (though I havn't taken the screen out) before I noticed the model number on the side so hopefully I can get a returns accepted.

Looks like OverClockers have really dropped a clanger on this one. :(

Model comparisons on the LG website: (are you reading Overclockers?)

Boy am I going to have some fun trying to convince the returns dept over this one! I am not going to pay return postage!

I was worried that might be the case. There's no way I'm accepting a TN-panel monitor; the Overclockers page clearly lists it as S-IPS with 178° angles and I'm not paying return postage for something I didn't order. The model numbers easily differentiate the different panels, even if they are similar.

Pretty sure this is BS. Had 2 webnote replys from OCUK today both stating they don't know when these are coming in. I'm pretty sure OCUK would check the stock before sending them out to customers.

EDIT: OK, maybe BS is a bit strong. Doesn't sound right though...

And Slackworth even stated that these are S-IPS and if they were the TN panels then they'd be sent back. But it doesn't mean that a mistake couldn't have occurred. I'll leave my order in place until I hear otherwise.

It seems unlikely they'd put an 2600HP -BF panel in a box clearly labelled 2600H - PF?

The human capacity for self-delusion never ceases to amaze me.

Also, how come OCUK are telling everyone that they haven't had the stock in if they clearly have? I'd rather be told there was a stock error than be fobbed off. Any of the Mods care to shed some light? (I'm gonna struggle getting this taste out my mouth! :D)
