LG Flatron W2600HP 26

Any update on this yet? It's been a week since SW mentioned he was talking to the supplies. Even a quick "we are waiting for a response" would help, but no information is getting frustrating...

I personally will wait end of this week and that's it, maybe the google ratings wheren't that much off after all.

The Google ratings are way off. I've had absolutely superb service off OcUK since i discovered them. They even gave me a rebate on a GTX260 of about £25 after the range dropped in price about 5 days after my purchase. True, i've spent a lot of money with them over the last few years, but thats service i doubt you'd get elsewhere.

tbh that's the level of service i expect at the least. Retail, Like most service industries is very flexible through most of the supply chain- as long as the cash is flowing and the stock is moving everyone is happy.

So you're saying that if, for instance, you bought a TV from a high street retailer then 5 days later the price dropped you'd go back and expect them to give you the difference back??

Yet, how that has anything to do with the current situation?
How good the service is, is measured when things don't go smoothly, not when everything is all rosy. Atm I really wouldn't give OcUK 10+ on performance of their service. There really isn't an excuse for lack of communication. There are also no reason to give us ETA, even if that ETA would be in next month.
After all they allready got paid and 3 weeks later what we have?

no i wouldn't but then again i've never bought a tv from a 'high street' retailer. The independent firms many of up forget value their customers. Every one. So if i sold a tv to someone then pana dropped the price 5 days later it doesn't take a genius to change the sale date and claim the rebate from the supplier. Even if i couldn't do that for a valued customer who spends lots of hard earned cash with me i'd offer them a discount on a shiny blue ray player to go with their tv. As posted though price is only one part of service. Service is about ringing that customer who brought that high ticket item from you and telling them about the price drop and offering them a solution. Good business makes that solution work for both parties. I.m nnot getting drawn into this argument. Lifes too short. I don.t expect my high standards of service from a discount box shifter but i do expect more than you guys (and me) seem to be getting.

Forgive the formatting, virgin is down in my village and i.m stuck with the n97 for now.

Not happy with the silence and lack of feedback on when these are likely to be made available.
Just asked for my pre-order to be cancelled and money refunded.
Probably going to get a different monitor now... possible with Displayport.

Likewise Delbert.

I sent another webnote asking for someone at OCUK to chase the monitor's suppliers for an eta. Received a reply yesterday stating that this would be done and feedback would be posted to this thread.

Maybe the suppliers can't be certain over eta's, but i expect better feedback and customer service in the forum so i know if/when i'll have something to show for the £300 i've already spent!

I'd also cancel if it wasn't so hard to find the ips version of this monitor elsewhere. I can't say im happy with OCUK customer service over this :(

I'm going to wait a while longer. It's not like there are any other comparable monitors at a comparable price anywhere else at present. I'm not in any particular hurry, it's not as if my existing monitor is broken or anything. I'll wait until the end of the month. After that, we'll see.

I have to say though that the lack of communication from OC recently is disappointing.

As with Blackjack Davy I'm in no hurry, especially given the great value. However, the lack of communication is a concern - it's already been over two weeks and I'm moving in about three weeks time. And if it is going to take longer than that I'd rather hear about it now than not know at all.

I think i was one of the first to order this monitor, i got the other H-model sent to me.

It finally arrived last week and i've been trying to RMA with customer service, which has been hard so far, since there's been some guy who's decided to answer my multiple-question-webnotes in a single sentence which doesn't answer any of the questions. Looks like the returning-mess is finally going to unfold, i just don't like the extra work this has brought to me especially since it was not my mistake in the first place.. They say they don't have pick-up service in my country, so i'll have to ship it and they'll refund the shipping costs to me. It's understandable but it wasn't my damn mistake :P

I also hope i will still be one of the first in line getting this monitor, i'm afraid i'm not first in the line anymore, since their system thinks mine is already shipped and now i'm in need of an replacement.

Anyway, an update on the situation with the monitors would be good.

that sounds a right mess. I'll have an update on my situation by the close of business tomorrrow.

Out of interest who has subsidis.. I mean pre-ordered? Can we see a show of hands?

1 for me

@HemmoHohto: did you try phoning for an RMA number? I had no problems getting one once I got through they were quite helpful on the phone, although I appreciate this may be more expensive if calling from another country.

The only annoying thing was they said DPD would collect on monday and someone had to stay at home all day long to wait for them to turn up... only they didn't. They didn't show up until tuesday, so thats nearly two whole days sitting at home waiting for the doorbell to ring, we weren't best pleased, although I appreciate this is a problem to do with the carriers rather than OC.

I'd rather not call abroad when things can and should be handleable via emails.

I got the RMA number pretty quickly, but getting the information how it would be returned was a bit harder. I finally received it after some another employee answered my questions with a more detailed message.

Now i'm just waiting for them to send me an "ok" for the shipping quote and i'll send the monitor back.

BTW. Mine was ordered on the 15th.
