LOST..... How do you think it will end

The arrogance from 3 or 4 people in this thread is quite amazing. I had never realised there was a special sect of Lost Experts who have a higher ability of knowing things that nobody knows.

We are but a chosen few :D

Tonight's episode was tasty, I'd happily wait two weeks for ever episode if they were all like that.

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but it must be some type of ying yang effect between the two places.

Lock pushes Desmond down the pit in one. Desmond knocked lock down in the other.

Jack saves lock in one, lock saves jack in the other.

These are just a few of the more recent ones, but there are others.

Probably just the writers trying to be clever with the writing tbh. Good writing though :).

The latest episode has some serious production value  Very cool episode, though not much in the way of mystery to be solved... I guess this is a sign of the end :(

Edit: Also my mind is blown by the extension :) But bring it on, hell I wish it was even longer! Apparently it's quite good for ABC as well since they get $900,000 for 30 seconds of advertising. Crazy money.

I've totally lost the plot with this now. I've seen every single episode but I just don't get it any more and I'm finding it hard to care.

I've no idea who is allowed to kill whom, who is on whose side or what everyone is trying to achieve. I feel like I've missed out on stuff because I ignored all the podcast and ARG stuff.

I started losing interest during the time travel season, even though there was some awesome episodes there. It's been ages since my mind was blown, like the 1st ep of season 2, or the first flash forward, or all the cool Desmond episodes.

I'm looking forward to the end so I'm free from this nonsense once and for all!

All the losties except Jack want off the island. Sawyer is kind of leading the group and trusts neither Widmore nor Locke; he's just doing what he can to leave.

The candidates can kill eachother, but not themselves.

Locke (or the Man in Black - MIB) can't kill the candidates directly. He also can not be killed by anyone. He needs all the candidates dead to be able to leave the island.

Widmore is trying to protect the losties from being killed so that MIB can't leave.

I would like to know what Claire's part is in all this? Why does Locke need her? Or at least, why does he keep her alive?

as i said before - her baby is extremely important, it may be jacob or MIB himself, we dont know yet. i hope they do explain who he is because he was built up a lot. becoming evil unless he had his true mother. being saved by freckles.

MIB must be able to be killed otherwise the show will never end. unless he manages to escape and destroy the world and that is the end.

I'm not sure if it's weird or not that Sawyer instantly knew Smokie wasn't John Locke, yet Desmond didn't. Maybe Smokie is actually Locke some how. Strikes me that Desmond should instantly know.

OK so the fact that Jacob is dead and the next candidate is not yet in place is where the jeopardy lies?

Not really. Desmond reminds me of Berem, the Green Gemstone Man from the Dragon Lance Chronicles. Incredibly important, but doesn't understand his own significance.

It struck me as being an almost sarcastic remark more than anything else indicating that Desmond did know or perhaps that MiB had taken on more of Locke than he had anticipated.

Of course he had just been zapped by Widmore and carted off through the jungle by Sayid so perhaps he wasn't all there and I'm just reading into it too much.
