, all the launcher tells me is it failed to download DirectX 9, which makes zilch sense.
Just got home and tried it and got the same thing
LOTRO free to play going ahead.

Did you read what the client states beside your message?

I find that you dont hear them shouting as much if you close the kitchen door
After 15 minutes I got that message, with a web address to go fetch DirectX 9 from August 2009. I have February 2010 version installed.

Finally get the patcher fixed, update to the current build and now whenever I try to log in all i get is that my username doesn't have an active LOTRO subscription......well yea thats the whole point of FTP isn't it?

Have you tried logging in on the cogaccounts website to see if it says anything on your account there? It should say something under the status column (VIP in my case, but I imagine it would say either Premium or F2P depending on which you are)

yea i can log-in fine although when i try adding the code for my copy of MoM it won't seem to accept it

Not from what I can see. The only options I have are to add games or add trials and neither seem to lead me anywhere.
So its not showing your LOTRO account at all under the Your Games section?
Is it a new free account or did you have a LOTRO account before?

Have you logged in at least once a month for each of the months?
