42 for the Walls of Moria yes but I think 42 for Moria is a little low. I went into Moria about 48 and still found mobs hard to kill.
 
I need an invite as i'm rolling a Hobbit, Guardian now. Just give me an invite between 6-7pm if anyones on.
 
Excellent, just got the "skeletal" mount on another one of my characters, think maybe they have increased the drop rate of it. Thats 4 characters I have with it now, just one more to go :)

Im currently using the F2P and am only level 6.If i buy an expansion say mines of moria what does that make me vip or premium.I know im a way off getting to the mines but i would purchase it but dont want a monthly subscription.I can find the game for £7.49 delivered and am wondering if its worth it or not :)

It would make you premium, you can only be VIP by either a monthly subscription or lifetime
 
Just before free to play I extended my trial by buying lotro shadows of angmar for £5. That has given me VIP until 7/12.

I thought buying mines of moria might do the same but it didn't! Got it for £6 just for the cd key online. Its unlocked the classes its meant to but my subscription status hasn't changed.

I think it gives 2 extra character slots as well? Not 100% sure though!

Just premium I would expect you to become if you buy it (:

Are they trying to get people to shell out directly for MOM now from their LOTRO Store for the full benefits?
 
^ It was a question out of curiosity. I've seen that MOM retail can be had for cheap now, and I just wondered if there was a difference - particularly as the poster above talked about not becoming a premium member.

I've only paid a small amount of attention to the game so far (just of the intro area).

Ah right, yes buying the MoM expansion would make you a premium member, but not a VIP member. Likewise getting MoM off the lotro store makes you a premium member (not a VIP) , in effect there are no differences between buying the retail of MoM and getting it off the store. (costs excepted)

Buying shadows of angmar temporarily makes you VIP because it came with 30 days free, thereby effectively giving you a free 1 month subscription, which in turn means you are a VIP ( for that 1 month )

Buying MoM doesn't temporarily make you a VIP because the standard expansion MoM doesn't come with 30 days free and thus doesn't effectively give you a free 1 month subscription.

Sorry if you tried to recruit me last night, i didn't logon due to the fact i was determined to complete GTA 4 on the Xbox 360 so i never have to touch that pile of tosh ever again.

You dont get additional turbine points as a premium player , thats only VIP players (they get an extra 500 points every month), the major differences between a premium player and a normal free player is that the premium player has a gold cap of 5 gold (instead of 2 gold) and can have 3 characters per server (instead of 2 characters per server)
