LOTRO free to play going ahead.

To: Sleepery & Wes
Didnt actually know it was populated or generated any income, reason being i havent heard of it, where is WOW is all over the place, and no i have never played it :D

You should try it, it's one of a kind and it really takes you in due to how pretty the game is and how engaging and enjoyable the lore is.

LOTRO uses an updated version of the DDO engine, so you're going to see similarities :)

It's a lot prettier though, although I always thought DDO has held up very well given its age. LOTRO is strictly from the WoW school of game design, very much a traditional style mmo. There's a lot to it, but you won't find a whole lot of surprises, except perhaps for the legendary weapon system. The environments are generally fantastic though.

DDO is an amazing game, but very different and quite limited in some ways - entirely instanced, quite unforgiving of death, and not really a game to solo beyond the lower levels. As far as character classes go, it's got more depth than just about any other game out there. I've spent weeks and weeks just mucking around with class combinations. The combat is great, and the adventure areas almost always really well crafted. You hit a payment ceiling much sooner than LOTRO though, it's not nearly as generous in its F2P model.

started ddo again thelanis server or smt - graphics actually arent too bad playing maxed out. Started as a rogue backstabber as I like attacking when enemy dont see you just a shame they aint asleep :D

Just hit 65 on my Champion, "Covadan" on Eldar.

If anyone is up for some group stuff to get some items and general non-solo fun then send me a tell.

Due to my chronic alt-itis, I've only just started exploring Mirkwood. Couldn't even tell you how to get to Enedwaith. I'm sure I'll get around to Isengard eventually :D

May pick this up again over the next few days. I've had another 2 week break from MMOs to actually play other games I've purchased rather than use them as paperweights.

Just started as a Hobbit/Warden,the Gambit default icons is annoying in the middle of the screen and i cant seem to move it?

Ideally i would like to move it to the side of the screen?

Can this be done?

Press Ctrl then # and you should be able to move it wherever you like

One way to do it, another way is to look under the interface options for the relevant drop-down box - I forget what it's called, but runekeepers have one for their attunement. It'll switch the tracker between large and small modes - small mode will mount it smoothly onto your main action bar, which I think looks much better than the larger display.

Edit: I miss this game a little bit :(
