So that is the car from Goodwood - you will note it rides a lot lower than the one in grey you posted. It's also electric (simply to move it about)!

I saw it at Goodwood (where I placed my £2k) and again at cribs. At cribs they had crappy little circular discs with the colours on, those models look so much better to view the colours and I wished they had them there!

They extended the 5th November deadline to next Friday so I'm going to ponder some more!

I am seeking confirmation but it appears a final production i4 AMG Emira is on tour in China and it looks perfect!

I think it looks incredible my only complaint is, Lotus show us some other colours please as I’m tempted to go with the red but would love to see.

One hell of a car for 60k for those willing to wait for a base i4 AMG!

On this site there is also a very strange image with text that translates to

The First Edition that went on the market first can output higher 400HP and 480Nm torque. The acceleration time will also be shortened to 4.3 seconds. Interestingly the laters maximum hp is almost equal to overseas 3.5 V6 supercharged version. The torque is even more than 50Nm but I still want V6 plus manual transmission

Take that with the large pinch of salt it deserves.

That's because it shares the basic platform with the later Evoras where the A pillar is now structural and links the top of the screen to the roll over structure. The additional stiffness this provides means that the sills can be reduced in size and makes access a bit easier.

Weird I overtook this car on the A17 to Newark on my way to Ikea in Nottingham yesterday. Don't know who was behind the wheel but was dawdling behind a lorry so overtook both . I thought it was some chavy wrap but did say to the missus that it looked like a Lotus.

I think it’s largely a guerilla marketing thing these days. “Camouflaged” cars get attention and social media posts etc that help build the buzz. The stuff they really don’t want you to see will be in cars that look completely ordinary.

Often it’s better with prototype cars otherwise shonky fit and finish along with non-final production parts can give people the wrong impression of a finished car.

Yea, I prefer the thin pillars once in the car though. The sill is easy once you nail the technique (left leg in first then just slide in).

Agreed, but when I sat in the Emira my view out did not seem compromised and it still had the better field of view out that mid-engine cars tend to have which is a huge plus point on the road, was also easy to see the edges of the bonnet due to the front wing hunches. Of course production car will differ a little as the Lotus guys said the production seat is 2cm lower seating position, but to me that is a good thing.
