From what she said, if true, she received very little support in getting other staff to appear in their content, the demands placed on her are bordering on impossible, especially for videos that need Recorded, cut, edited, reviewed and potentially signed off, multiple times a week. It was also said that there is a whole team, although no indication of numbers but you'd have to think by 'team' it's at least three people, doing what they expected her to do alone. When she raised her concerns she was brushed off, belittled, insulted and had her talent, credibility and ability questioned every time.
So the full context, is missing from this screenshot and unfotunately the Dad has not been fully truthful about the interaction between Linus and his son.There is also this story that got covered up real quick a while back
It is true that Linus requested to pay them for Youtube button, however upon hearing the story he told them to keep it and gave them a shoutout.

In the reddit thread, where you almost certainly got this screenshot from, there is a screenshot where Linus calls out the harrasement that this person was facing.

WTAF, is this real, or just some unsubstantiated post on reddit?
Its somewhat real. In reality it was the LTT fanbase that did this, not Linus.

So the video totally debunks the above reddit post then. Cool beans. As for his fan base, he can't be held responsible for what other people do. Unless he specifically tells them to do something that is.

The LTT community still had a hand in it. Just not Linus himself.
It is still tragic.

exactly the same thing I am was referring to in my comments in this thread.
the internet has become a toxic cesspit (well social media at least)
it goes the other way sometimes as well, a person does a mildly decent thing and they get a £50k gofundme page for a random act of kindness.
People like to herd together like sheep good or bad.
Who knows if he mentioned it elsewhere and the fanbase got behind it. No evidence that he did, but I can totally see that sort of fanbase trying to be Knights in Shinning armour and recovering the award for some internet points.
That's people for you. I always say the internet is really just a window into the human condition. Fortunately most of the time we have no idea what everyone around is thinking but a quick peruse of the web soon gives you an idea!

I like to think positively that people aren't all like that.
my day to day experience (face to face with people) is that generally people are ok, they're just living their lives and getting on with it.
the internet just enables all the a-holes and idiots to get together more easily and circle-jerk their opinions with one another.

face to face people self filter, the internet and social media just happens to be their unfiltered thoughts as it enables a degree of anonymity (or at least the illusion of it).
