Could be fixed by "day 1 patch" but who knows?

Sorry to be bearer of bad news folks! Pc gamer could be being dopey, who knows but i doubt they would write about it otherwise
 
It's beyond me why anyone would pre-order THIS game at the very least. The first 2 were buggy and crazy janky. Potential there,sure,but still rough and add to the fact theres no reviews out?...

Plus why does anyone need to pre order a code? Its not like they going to run out of a fairly average selling game at best even if it WAS possible to run out of codes :confused::confused::confused:

I pre-order occasionally to save a few quid.

For most gamers, it is just the "zOMG, I must have it ASAP!!!!" mentality.

It would be interesting to see pre-order figures for all platforms, despite there being more console owners, I would expect the PC platform to be very high... :o

yeh it's daft tbh and is the reason so much unfinished crap comes out.

Yeh you can save a few quid on key site's or sometimes on Steam but it's a bad practice and effects us all as a whole really.

Could be it, bad on pc gamer if so, shouldnt just throw statements out there if not playing retail but who knows

And to the above i think people preorder to get a good price, key sites offer good deals prior to release then shoot up again as soon as the game is out.. usually
 
I'm going to wait and see what the general consensus is after it unlocks. If there are technical issues, then it's a shame. Not suprising given the warning signs, just a shame.

30fps lock is so ridiculous I can't quite believe 2K could be this dumb. Especially since this is the same company that built their entire marketing of GTA V PC around 60fps.

I don't see how it effects us in a bad way to be honest.

I was going to buy the game regardless so it makes sense to buy it and save a few quid in the process.

(Rarely reads reviews on games or watches previews)

If you honestly believe that then I think you need a reality check.

The reason we get unfinished crap isn't because people pre-order (which I highly doubt accounts for the majority of AAA game sales), but rather publisher pressure to release within a certain timeframe for their quarterly earnings calls to shareholders to ensure they meet budgeted revenue. If they miss forecasts then they need cast iron reasons to explain to the market and to shareholders etc. Unfortunately that results in things being rushed out to get sales with retrospective patching to bring it up to the level it should have been at release.

Back to pre-ordering, it's one of those things, I do it occasionally but I'm fully aware that it could be a mess. If you pre-order expecting flawless releases then you only have yourself to blame!
 
Been reading about the 30fps cap, if this is true I won't be playing it. I understand consoles using 30fps but thats simply because they use crap low end hardware and are not capable to even run with smooth gameplay, but for PC it's unacceptable. If it is true, this is the last game I will ever purchase from this dev.

Not to start an argument or anything but, that is complete nonsense. If a person chooses to pay a premium to buy direct from steam, good for that person but they are clearly an idiot or have money to waste. Out of the 812 games I have bought from G2A, I have saved a hell of a lot of money and never had a problem.

For the sake of £3 at most though is it really worth it? On the other hand, if it comes out and its a buggy,broken mess then its reduced within a couple of weeks anyway and its not like you would be playing it while its broken. By the time you would get round to playing it, it would have dropped in price again.

Its up to the individual as always though. I pre ordered my first game ever today so I'm hoping I prove myself wrong! I bought Gears to play it at midnight tonight instead of waiting until the 11th as its a massive game for me and it will be the only MP game I will play
