Mafia 3

There was more than a £3 saving. On cdkeys I got it for £26.99, on steam it was £35. So an £8 saving, usually savings are much much more.

Comparing apples to oranges. Its probably gone up £3 on the same site which you can still buy from when the game is released. Of course its more expensive on Steam but we not talking about buying elsewhere to get it cheaper, we are talking about pre ordering to get it cheaper

Prices on keysites always stay much lower than ripoff steam. As an example

- Raven Legacy of a Master Thief - G2A Price about £1
- Steam price £20.99

This is why I will never buy direct.

£3 saved is £3 still in my pockets. It was actually £6 saved and as the saying goes - look after the pence and the pounds will take care of themselves.

Yep 30fps on my game. Gsync just about making it tolerable. Why do I get the feeling they've done something stupid like in LA Noire and linked physics/animations to it?

I have had confirmation from 2K that the current builds of Mafia 3 are locked to 30fps on PC. They claim improvements "soon" and statement.

:)

tbph, people should have known by now not to pre-order games... Time and time again we have been given buggy pos on release day (even by "trusted" publishers/developers) yet people still continue to pre-order and come release day are left disappointed/annoyed :o

Just how many buggy/crap ports is it going to take until people learn their lesson... DON'T PRE-ORDER! This is largely why we get so many buggy/crap ports on release now...

If you buy from a key site to save a few quid yes but there's no reason not to pre-order though Steam anymore, As with Mafia 3 pre-ordered copies get 6 exclusive items and if the games unplayable for any reason you have 2 weeks and 2 in-game hours to refund it.

If this is true and it'ds locked to 30fps yes I'm disappointed but I would be whether I'd bought the game yet or not, that's nothing to do with whether I pre-ordered.

Refusing to do the pre order is a no brainer, I can't believe people still throw their money away blindly after all the disaster releases even in the past year or two!

People are saying that the game actually slows down if you drop below 30fps too, so it looks like another case of the physics and such being tied to a framerate. Probably shouldn't hold your breath for a 60fps patch any time soon if that's the case.

The game really doesn't look great either. Some screens from NeoGAF of it running on max settings:

Blurry as hell too, so I assume it uses FXAA.
