Look at this worthless insect that's being allowed to come here and spout hate.

Muslim preacher of hate is let into Britain

Zakir Naik, an Indian televangelist described as a “hate-monger” by moderate Muslims and one Tory MP, says western women make themselves “more susceptible to rape” by wearing revealing clothing.

Naik, who proselytises on Peace TV, a satellite television channel, is reported to have called for the execution of Muslims who change their faith, described Americans as “pigs” and said that “every Muslim should be a terrorist”.

In a recent lecture, he said he was “with” Osama Bin Laden over the attacks on “terrorist America”, adding that the 9/11 hijackings were an inside job by President George W Bush.

^^^Im quite surprised at the Times in all honesty for stooping to the level of the Daily Fail...Dr Naik is well known very well known for putting across islam as not 'evil'...the guy has memorised the Quran, the Bible amongst other religious books and has had audiences with the Pope and other religious people and none of them have said that hes a war monger or holds extremist views.

I watch a lot of his programmes on his peace tv channel...and ive never ever heard him say that hes with Osama or every muslim should be a terrorist....if he has said those things then they were taken out of context like the media does so well...and he does know his stuff very well as ive seen him hold debates where he has put many many misconceptions about islam to rest.

Lol that is absolutely hilarious. I have actually seen many of Dr Zakir Naiks talks, and I'll tell you what he says.

When he was asked about Osama Bin Laden, he stated that he has never met Osama Bin Laden and the only information he has regarding him is from the western media which is heavily biased, therefore, he cannot say either way. However, if Osama Bin Laden is saying that all non muslims have to be killed (or something to that effect) he is absolutely against such a thing.

The women being more susceptible to rape part which the article mentions I am sure was him using actual data which he had showing that rape is more common in countries where women are less covered in society. I don't think he said what the article is making out but feel free to correct me, most his talks are on youtube.

He is quite open about his belief that the 9/11 attacks in America were an inside job, but so what? So do quite a lot of americans.

He always says every muslim should be a fundamentalist... ie. they follow the fundamental teachings of Islam.

Seriously, the guy debates which hindu and christian scholars live, he gives quite good talks. Before you slate him, watch some of his talks.

LOL he wont though thats the problem there...and he wont look at his talks because in his mind, hes already made up his mind.

One thing i like about Dr Naik is that he bloody well knows his stuff and not just from an islamic point of view....hes memorised the Quran, the Bible, the Torah, the hindhu and sikh religious books...not many people can profess to knowing those books inside out. Not only that hes held audiences with the Pope amongst other religious people but yet they have never come out and said that hes an extremist or war monger.

Pretty surprised at the Times and the level they have stooped at...its like something out of the Daily Fail.....shame on the Times...

To me it is very simple.

There is a God, and a merciful God at that.

Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus preached peace, understanding and mercy.

There is a fallen angel named Satan who seeks evil, pestilience and war through weak willed humans.

Mohammed was a self claimed prophet who forwarded his word through war and conquest.

Do the math.

thread sinks to a new low as bible thumpers infitrate a strictly bash Mohammed thread :p

Adam and Eve were the only people on the planet.

Who did they/their children reproduce with?

Do the Math.

So where did we originate from exactly??...if you think what i-bert has said is a load of self indulgent fantasy...

The primordial chemical Ooze, followed by single cell life, multicelled life, up through and not limited to dinosaurs, mammals, apes, and the various levels of man including Homo erctus, Neandethal and Homo Sapien, ending up with us.

Adam and Eve may be a allegory for some original tribal conflict, but other than that is not to be taken literally.

Do you not believe that human beings have a conscience or a soul?

Not sure what you mean by a conscience but I don't believe that we have a soul, I'm not religious in any way so to me most religious things are fantasy stories, I do believe there were certain people who did exist, such as Jesus.

Do you not believe that human beings have a conscience or a soul?

Of course I do, do I beleive that God gave them to me, not really. I am pretty open minded about it, but I believe that 'GOD' is an abstract idealogy that attempts to explain the inexplicable rather than some specific being.

I have watched a number of Dr Naik's talks, and was unimpressed. He misintepreted a number of Hindu texts in an attempt to prove Mohammed was the 10th incarnation of the Hindu God Vishnu. I can't speak for his knowledge on Semetic scriptures, but with regards to Hindu and Sikh religious scriptures, his only appeal is to those who are utterly clueless on their own faith and are wow-ed by someone who can remember a scriptural quotation off the top of their head.

Khushwant Singh, a prominent Indian journalist, politician and author argues that Naik's pronouncements are "juvenile" and said that "they seldom rise above the level of undergraduate college debates, where contestants vie with each other to score brownie points".
Singh replied to Zakir Naik's statement that "Western society claims to have uplifted women. On the contrary, it has actually degraded them to the status of concubines, mistresses, and society butterflies who are mere tools in the hands of pleasure seekers and sex marketers…." by saying "Dr. Naik, you know next to nothing about the Western society and are talking through your skull cap. People like you are making the Muslims lag behind other communities." Singh also noted that Naik's audiences "... listen to him with rapt attention and often explode in enthusiastic applause when he rubbishes other religious texts ..."

Lucknow based cleric Kalbe Jawad argued that "Naik is bringing a bad name to Muslims. Such people should be condemned and socially boycotted" and claimed that Naik was being financed by the Wahabi sect that supposedly perpetrates violence in the name of Islam and expressed the need for an inquiry into, how Naik was running a TV channel on his own and where he received the funds from. Another Lucknow cleric Naib Imam Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali claimed that Naik has "mugged up some verses from the Koran and pretends to be an Islamic scholar".
