So it's ok to have sex with 13 year old then?

Actually no, to be a paedophile you have to be attracted to/have sex with pre pubescent girls.

so 12< normally.

Its not a matter of what is the cut off age, its when girls reach puberty so you can't put a finger what age etc..

However, we live in different times and its accepted for girls to only marry after 16 years of age or whenever they want to.

As my point.

In Islam, A girl is only eligible to get married once she has reached puberty. Nowadays, like statistics, a figure has been given to determine the thin-line when an older guy is considered a peadophile, i.e. 16 years old.

Girls mature at different ages - some before 16.

So (assuming that aisha had had her first period) you are saying it was ok for muhammed to have sex with her when she was 9? Just to be clear because it seems that is what you are saying.

I only have to go back to what I said before and that is that if something is dearest to me then I will speak up. If someone mocks my religion, I care - thats obvious!

But, personally, I don't care if you care. Whatsoever.

I will continue to laugh at South Park until one of your nutter brethren cuts off my head. At that point I'll probably be crapping myself, but at least I'll have had a laugh.

ANY depictions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are forbidden in Islam and we as muslims cannot accept this.

Nobody's asking you to. We're just asking you to shut up and stop complaining?

The issue here is that extremists are only a small minority. With your reasoning, you're only giving extremists a chance to attack. That is not Islam.

At the same time, you are insulting Islam for the peaceful believers. ANY depictions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are forbidden in Islam and we as muslims cannot accept this.

When you say "cannot accept", how far does that go? Does it permit violence toward those who do depict the prophet?

The intolerant muslims need to realise that just because they cannot accept someone else's views or criticism, they don't have the right to stop people voicing those views.

I'm a Christian but I don't give **** if people take the mickey. It wouldn't be much of a religion/lifestyle choice if I couldn't handle a little criticism would it?

With your point regarding Southpark - Anyone without moral concern can be behind the production and due to their nature and media power through their TV production, making a mockery of life's beliefs and problems has possibly become accepted in the western society and instilled into people's lives as the norm.

Yeah, and something that's dearest to me is my mum, but if someone cracks a "yo mumma" joke at me, I'm not going to threaten to kill them.

seriously rubbing it in his face makes you look stupid. I was waiting for some poor sap to take the bait and be mauled by the crowd.

I dunno what you guys "like," lets say manchester united.. now have someone sit there telling you, you are an idiot, they are the worst team in the world, football is pathetic, all footballers are rapists and sex abusers. etc etc etc blah blah you not gonna stand up and defend yourself and what you beleive in as "stupid" as it is.

You respect what I believe but not what i believe? Hmm.. I don't quite get that.

I respect the right for you to believe what you wish. That doesn't mean I have to repsect your beliefs if I find them to be against my own personal moral code. Much like I respect the right for people to vote BNP, I do not however have to respect the party itself. You have the right to believe what you wish, you do not have the right to believe it without criticism.

In those days girls got married early (still happens today in some regions) and the marriage between Muhammad (PBUH) and Aisha was not consummated until she reached puberty. Secondly, she wasn't whipped away, she was married off.

I still think having sex with a 9/10 year old is pretty distasteful even if she has had her first period. What do you think?

Times were different - we're talking about 1430 years ago! Secondly, times for Christians has changed so much thats its evident in the change of the bible with the New Testement etc.

The passing of time however should be irrelevant as the person involved had a direct line to God. Either God is ok with people having sex with 10 year olds or he isn't. If he isn't, why didn't he let Mohammed know?

Homosexuality is wrong in all religions, not just in Islam. Like the popular saying goes "God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve". Homosexuality in religion goes against logic - you cannot carry on generations in the world if everyone turned gay/lesbian and held no interractions with each other - which is why marriage (not to the same sex) is compulsary in Islam.

I would learn a bit more about more world religions before making such sweeping statements as "Homosexuality is wrong in all religions". But so what? Just because something was right or wrong 1400 years ago doesn't make it right or wrong now surely? Times have changed after all. Also the "what if everyone turned gay" arguement is pretty silly as, well, not everyone has turned gay and it has been going on for longer than your religion.

For your information, it doesn't mention Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) having sex in the Quran. Your criticism is based on lack of knowledge.

Notice the smilie. It normally indicates humour....

Why should I have to follow any of the rules that apply to muslims? I am not a muslim, I do not live in a muslim country. Much like you do not have to follow any of the rules that apply to Christians or Jews or Hindus or Pagans. I have no problem with you imposing whatever rules you like on yourself, but why should I have to follow them?

I just wouldn't care, i'd shrug it off and let the person believe what they want.

Lol the funny thing is, most footballer in the prem are rapist and sex abusers :D lol.

so you have nothing in your life you would defend ? and cant comprhend if someone does?

im just debating the idea.

Its called rising above it. If someone takes the ****, biting back to them never works, we all found that out at school.

I have enough sense to entitle everyone to their own opinion, weather they want to mock what I think or not. I don't get up in arms about petty things people say, because at the end of the day, I know I'd still think what I believe in, and I don't need to get defensive to try and justify my beliefs.

In Islam is the important point there. I don't care about Islam, and don't care about Mohammed, and don't care about people drawing him. It doesn't matter if a non-Muslim draws Mohammed, because they are not subject to the same restrictions followers of Islam are.

I could draw one now if I could be bothered, and wouldn't be breaking any rules.
