I wanted to make a new thread for this, but they seem to be closing anything to do with Islam if it isnt posted in here, so I'll just put it here instead:

Muslim immigrants attack Danish pop-star

Presenting you number 14987 in the list of "Things that offend Muslims"..Danish-Chilean popstars names...

Erm, right, just exactly who is making the religion look like crap? Complaining Muslims, or this non-muslim Danish pop singer:

I'm kind of seriously confused over how this pop singer makes Islam look like crap .

In my opinion, anyone that threw eggs at her because of her name should have been shot dead.

That's just ridiculous, People like this 16 year old just encourage criticism of his faith.

What do they think of 'Funky Cold Medina' then. The Tone Loc lyrics should upset them hugely.

Interpretation of the Qur'an may be offensive and extremist in some cases, it doesn't make the Qur'an offensive generally.

Actually, every single interpretation of the quran says that people who leave the religion and gays should be stoned to death, and such believes are extended as laws and even cover people who have sex outside marriage, and atheists as well, whether based in the koran or not.

Try living as an open Atheist and speaking about why you dont believe in God to Muslims in Saudi Arabia, and send me a postcard after you've been lashed till your black and blue all over, and ready to be dug into the ground for an execution by rocks telling me that the koran is still not offensive to you.

It's still not offensive to me. The sensible thing to do is keep your belief to yourself when you know it is going to illicit such a response.

What is offensive is the attempt to associate a specific movement within Islam with Islam in general. Islamism is not indicative of every Muslim school of thought or branch.

The Quran says "Let there be no compulsion in religion" (2:256), that clearly states that their is no compulsion to become a Muslim, although later extracts state that before becoming a Muslim be aware that the penalties for leaving can be severe I admit.

But Islamic countries such as Pakistan, Turkey and Jordan have no such rules and do not punish people for not being Muslim or being A
theist. Saudi practice Sharia, most do not.

Please watch this Muslim guy speaking and tell me what you think of his 'school of thought':

This is what I were told about him elsewhere:

There are plenty of moderate Muslims, plenty of Muslims who regularly speak out against terrorism and oppression, and who speak out for homosexuality, freedom, equality, socialism et al. Best example being Mehdi Hasan, there is no-one in the world I respect more than him, and he happens to be a Muslim.

The link gets censored here, so viewing it will be tricky,

copy paste and delete the spaces after the hyperlink part between 'f q F t' to view it.

No, Islamism is a political ideology based on Islam. That is not the same at all.

Islamism turns the bits and pieces within Islam that deal with politics, economics, and military affairs into a sustained and systematic program. They are both one and the same.

From Wikipedia:

"Mind control (also known as brainwashing, coercive persuasion, thought control, or thought reform) refers to a process in which a group or individual "systematically uses unethically manipulative methods to persuade others to conform to the wishes of the manipulator(s), often to the detriment of the person being manipulated"

Does this ring any Islamic* bells?

*insert your religion of choice here

You lot are as brainwashed and foolish as those you rail against. You take an extremist view and apply it to everyone in a given Faith. When you uncover the mass graves of Muslim children slaughtered by Christian Extremeist's it gives you a somewhat different view on extremism in general.

All religions can be extremist and violent that is a fact, but not all the believers of a religion adhere to the same ideology as the extremists or fundamentalists, regardless of what people like Wafa Sultan would have you believe especially considering the inconsistencies in her own reasons for denouncing Islam.
