McDonald’s general discussion

I almost bought something the other day as it was on offer on the app...

Burger and medium fries discounted, I was going to add another burger with points i have on hte app... just need a drink now...

£3 for a McDs milkshake on its own...!!!! threee bleeding quid lol! So I went to a takeaway and got a 1/4 pound cheesburger with cheezy chips, a portion of chilli cheese nuggets and a tub of chilli sauce... and a can of mango rubicon, instead. Much nicer!

I got a chocolate shake last week, once in a blue moon I crave for their milkshake. I dislike flavoured milk like Yazoo but I love a thick milkshake that you can hardly drink out of a straw and theirs is the most widely available. £2.89 I think I was but to get a milkshake in any other place, say Five Guys, you are looking at double that anyway.

Had a medium Big Mac meal the other day, I couldn’t believe it when my phone pinged up saying I spent £6.29! It was alright and we are talking years ago since I had a Big Mac but I’m sure the bun was nicer? Something seemed a little off but I can’t put my finger on it.

Had a quarter pounder for lunch and then a BBQ’d burger from a fete in the evening. The BBQ’d burger was so far ahead of the quarter pounder in terms of taste and quality it does remind us that yes whilst we enjoy a McDees burger they are genuinely ****!!

How much was the burger from the fete? And can you get the same thing in any town or city almost worldwide?

I'm surprised you still go to McDonald's, given that most of your posts in this thread are just complaints about the place.

Some fetes have their burgers supplied by a local butcher or a local farm has a stand cooking its own burgers and sausages. If its from a sweaty greasy looking burger van, they a Russian roulette how bad/great they can be. Usually its the former.

The worst burgers anyone can buy are Birds Eye or those economy burgers - 16 for £1.50. I rather eat a burnt piece of cardboard thanks.

Had the Philly Cheese stack yesterday and wow it was good, probably my 2nd favourite burger there now after the Big Tasty.
