Same here, I really hope that the reports are true as that is a huge turnaround from the situation he was in a couple of months back.

There was a chap on another website talking about how he became a paraplegic through skiing.

.The whole situation seems so surreal and I just hope for the best outcome possible, for Michael and his whole family.

The statement said simply:
“Michael has left the CHU Grenoble to continue his long phase of rehabilitation. He is not in a coma anymore.
“His family would like to explicitly thank all his treating doctors, nurses and therapists in Grenoble as well as the first aiders at the place of the accident, who did an excellent job in those first months.
“The family also wishes to thank all the people who have sent Michael all the many good wishes to Michael. We are sure it helped him.
“For the future we ask for understanding that his further rehabilitation will take place away from the public eye.”

Yeah - here's hoping - the man is a battler. Kudos to his family too.

Obviously that's to be hoped for but, in all honesty, there's almost no chance of no lasting damage, or even only minor lasting damage.

It's like saying, An example here, Anthony Hopkins is "Welsh" I hope he recovers soon or is he simply known as the "German" in racing ?
