My GeIL 2GB PC2-6400 CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (MY-058-GL) Overclocking Experience.......

is funny though how my pny and the 1st set both booted fine at 1.8v but these wont so probably wont clock too well but if geil and the main page say they will take 2.3v then ill pump that through if i need too :P
i just got lucky that i bought the pny while they were beein rma'd and will now keep it just incase.
i may give mine some abuse later now the rig seems to have settled down and post back with what they top out at ;)

oops sorry! Thats at 4-4-4-12 timings and 2.2v.
I get an evil MEM READ score in Everest of 14,310! Seems too high, the next best compare scores within the prog are around 8000 and an x6800 scores 6,700 with 667 mem.

Not massive mhz i know but i am well chuffed with this mem and it does me just fine, i have had more when the cpu was lesser clocked just cant remember waht it was. When i get water cooling i want to push the mhz up again :D

Just thought id post a screenie to give an am2 view point ;)

Hi there

You won't get this RAM again this cheap. The fact we've sold close to 900 units is proof this is good memory. My results alone show how good it is! :)

Our re-supply cost is increasing and as such our sale prices will increase plus as its going of promotion the price will jump back up too.

This memory is worth in the £140-£160+VAT region just like G.Skill and Corsair memory fetches. The only reason its so cheap is because OcUK is doing a good deal. :)

What price was this memory when this thread was started ?

Inc SHR (Shipping handling and RMAs), or just inc VAT ?

Assuming the latter, when Gibbo originally posted the thread it was about £128, but they bumped the price to about 130 during the day after posting the OC results.

EDIT, my bad, price was raised before the OC results.

No, as they bought all their original stock for under £128 and were selling it for anything up to £230 since then. I think it might have gone out of stock at some point, not sure. Memory prices in general are dropping back a bit, but still a lot higher than they were in the august timeframe of course.

Just in case anyone was wondering, even if these are being cleared, these Geils are based on the same D9GMH chips that are in the gskill HZ which cost 220 from here inc. vat so we know they are definitely very good. I didn't really want to buy new Geil sticks after dodgy DDRI experiences, but i might just go for them again.
