NEARLY 2 WEEKS WAITING: Nissan GT-R is finally mine!

Hey all!

So loving the upgrades, it feels like a brand new car, much more refined with the smoother gear changes and so much more brutal with the extra horses and torques.

Anyway, someone had some alcon rears up for sale, 400 miles, with pads. Changed to a BBK, so selling cheap.

Either way, the money he wanted for them was stupid cheap, so snapped his arms off.

Both discs and all the matching pads for less than the price of 1 disc new!!

Got the calipers out, and they are all at 29.99mm. Well, new they are 30mm :)

Oh, and he sent the bells with them also?! Those are normally 100 odd quid each.

Bargain.
 
Alcon's last forever, the set on my M3 were from a CSL and I then put a lot of track days on them and the fronts are only due for changing now as the little grooves are not really visible any more on the front.

Premium discs but you get what you pay for with them.
 
Now I've completed on my new house. I think I HAVE to start banking some money to change over to one of these, it's just still on my tickbox even though the C63 is brutal these are the ultimate toy :D
 
Hey all!

So have been looking at getting the paint restored, but to be honest to most people its in great condition, by the time ive polished it up unless you look really hard all the imperfections I only notice as the owner it seems like a bit of a waste given the money involved.

Im learning to the roaring thunder myself. But the psychedelic does have an appeal.
 
Psycedelic is the new chav wrap choice. Everyone's getting it. Roaring thunder looks good, but seems done too often. Rising sun or deep space I haven't really seen before, would suit a GTR I think.

So Donnington today was insane, this track is made for GTRs. Lots of photos to be emailed to me next week. Weather was perfect, track was quick and only 3 red flags all day, (2 caterham failures and someone in the gravel trap).

Took a few people out today also. Passenger 1 got out after three laps and puked. Passenger 2 got out and was still shaking visibly after twenty minutes. I'm not that terrible of a driver am I :eek::eek::eek:

The good news is, after having a chat with a few people i'm going to be dropping the alcons for a full set of surface transforms 400mm carbon ceramic discs: https://surfacetransforms.com/

Unfortunately I'd forgot all about my lunch date with Acer, LOL.

Good to meet you, was a great day with only a few red flags!

I took Max (black GTR) out in my M3 at the end of the day and he was shocked how good the brakes are in it compared to his Alcon Super Kit! But that's what happens when you try to stop 1800kg vs 1300kg.
