NEARLY 2 WEEKS WAITING: Nissan GT-R is finally mine!

Just spotted this.

@Dis86, that is not my car. Every car i have owned has been looked after with the very best of stuff. Spent over £4k on the scoob in the last few months just for the grin of it. So i wouldn't shy away from spending a few pennies on some decent tyres lol....

That is my mate who is ignorant to the fact that tyre's are important, especially on powerful cars. He'll learn one day when they catch him out.

Aye I know rybo don't worry. I keep an eye on your Scooby ;)

Awesome.

660hp is on 102? Do you have a switch ?

Thats on the 99 map with 102 fuel.

So could probably get more power if remapped specifically for 102, but playing it safe as its getting to the limit now on "safe" without going down the route of strengthening internals.

@Dis86 Ah sorry i must have read it wrong, thought you was implying it was me budgeting on a M3's maintenance lol.

It is OcUK though, only place i get told i cannot afford fuel because i prefer to use my van... :p

Can't wait to run on Litcho's dyno next month as its the highest and most accurate maha in existence as its a single contact AWD one, best in business so big thanks for letting me tag on the GTR dyno day. :)

No problem :) The guys there are quite excited also to have an SVR run!

Thanks and yeah the SVR's are silly rare cars so they have probably never had one on a dyno before, in fact I wonder if one has ever being dyno full stop. Time to see if its figures are bang on, I'd say it certainly feels like 550-600HP. :)

The dyno, the dyno, the dyno will tell.

The torques, the horsepower and the rpms as well :D

(I doubt anyone will get the reference ha :D)

Have you taken the car on circuit yet?

If so what was it like?

Donnington and Silverstone.

It needs some work on the handling if I'm honest, still savagely capable but the body roll is very un-nerving you can see it in the picture below how much it shifts about. Thats next on my list, looking at DSC controller (http://www.dscsport.com/gtr-2/) alongside litchfields suspension kit (http://www.litchfieldmotors.com/nissan-gtr/parts/suspension-handling/litchfield-gtr-road-suspension) and some larger anti roll bars.

The setup of the licho kit which plugs into the standard car electrics means I can use the enhanced dsc controller to really change how the car rides, stick it in soft, and it will make it like driving on a pillow, stick it on firm and it will be a proper bone shaker.
