NEARLY 2 WEEKS WAITING: Nissan GT-R is finally mine!

Hi guys,

So got my front splitter back from being sprayed with Ngencos protective coating today.

Decided to give it a test, bear in mind this is not fully cured yet and will harden up over the next 2-3 days.

After peeling it off, you can see the difference, it certainly works, so hopefully it will keep the splitter lovely and protected from stone chips etc...

Yup, I don't buy cars to sit them on a drive until the weekends.

No, but at the same time, you're putting a fair few miles into what's essentially a super car.

£900+ monthly costs is quite a bit.

I'm not saying you'd want to leave it on your drive until the weekends, but by investing in a run around, you'd probably save quite a bit every month, and have the added benefit of enjoying your car even more when you do choose to drive it :)

I get immense pleasure from driving the car even to the shops and back.

The day im there thinking "oh i better take the runaround because X is too costly to run" is the day id rather sell the car.

Ultimately its what I do for fun, I don't do nights out, dont drink, dont smoke, dont gamble etc... I have mates who go for a night out in Worcester and Birmingham every week at 100+ a pop... I don't do that as I don't derive any pleasure from it.

Soon as you reallocate those sort of costs into the car, it becomes comparable quite quickly.

It's not a case of too costly, but rather having more money to spend on other things for the car :p

Im pretty much at the limit now of where I can go power wise without getting into forged internals and mega money.

Once the brakes are on, the only major thing left to do will be to get the handling spot on. Enjoy the car for a year or 2 then look at selling up.

Direct from the main uk supplier. Do you need a couple? I probably over ordered so you can have it at cost, £30 a barrel, can bring em to ocuk meet.

(That pricing was a promo btw)

I was hoping it cheap enough to run permanently a do away mixing methanol. No point me giving a go for a couple of barrels though as I'd use half a tank returning the fuel tables for it.

The last thing I need to do when the new engine is fitted is make more power

Yup, plus my alcons in exchange. Obviously not RRP, but was at the right place right time.

Still for 4 ceramic disc its a bargain mate. :)

Be interesting how much lighter they are over Alcons as the Alcon 2PC are pretty light anyway. Time for you to enjoy ZERO dust. :)
