^ Need for Speed Shift ^

twitching ? i think you might have a 'tick' Drex as your seeing things !! but as you say lets not go into that pointless debate again ...

nice to finally see a video without the racing line on the track, Laguna Seca is a great track... not long to wait now vroooooom!

really can't wait for this game now. I need to buy a logitech G25 though.

i'd suggest holding off for now as with all hardware theres the new G27 due out, which hopefully means a further reduction in G25 prices.. from initial tests the G27 isnt anything majorly diff to the G25 plus it will be more expensive.

this game cant come soon enough !!! twitch twitch !!!

these have probably been posted, but im lazy ...

has to get 10/10 for graphics ... soon well know if its a yay or nay!

was reading shift forums that there's no tire degradation but u can get puncture , bit strange  also cars cannot be totaled :(

well we have Burnout Paradise for spectacular crashing and wiping out cars, this is about more about racing ,...

two developer vids showing you the first thing your greeted with ingame - the evaluation lap(s) - in career mode and the ingame race options which all look quite polished and shiny

its best to click and open up the proper HD versions on Youtubes webby ..

No its not a joke.
E.g. go and see FIFA10 on the PC which has been dumbed down (using the FIFA09 engine) compared to the console version which have new graphics, supposedly. AND its an EA game. So its quite a valid question to ask imho.

Furthermore, the visuals on the PS3 and 360 are quite literally stunning, and it makes me wonder if the PC is still capable of more than what the console versions have achieved.

And finally, for some reason PC racers have never looked as good (generally) compared to racers on consoles. Up to now, I cannot recall a game on the PC which has the same level of detail/lushness to that of the likes of Forza 3 and GT5. (well perhaps GRID but tbh I never played it and lets face it, its more of an arcade game than wanabe sim right?)

well this seems to be the standard mentality of console gamers who go for graphics over content.

gameplay > graphics.. Grand Prix 2 > Any console racer in history

well yeah. technically thats exactly what the definition of leaked is xD haha. thought it would appeal to 90% of the people on this forum thts all. haha
/sigh

anyways back on topic.... im going to have to say the PC version will be the best because a) Higher resolutions 1920*1200 upwards compared to whatever is it 1280*720 on console ? b) full screen AA etc etc so no jaggies c) my G25 wheel is > console controllers **although PS3 can use a G25** and lastly d) i said so :p

and yet again,....... they have said there will be a demo but it wont be available before launch .... theres posts and links in this thread ...

My theory is, its prob going to be rubbish, so ea wants ppl to buy the game without knowing how it is. I soooooooo hope not tho, cos I really looking forward to this one

EA dont force anyone to buy a game ..... you read reviews, you watch videos and check around the web then make a judgement ... or simply wait for the demooooooooo !!

simples really

if you buy the game direct from EA Store uk you can input MyVoucherCodes15% bringing the price down to £24 ish and you'll get a free car or something..

So will it have propor support for the XBOX360 gamepad?

And the above post, that's great, I know when I'm playing other driving games, for example TDU, when you're doing 130mph it's like you are doing 70, so you end up doing about 180mph avg round the island and looks like 70mph.

i can understand console users playing with a little controller but if your grabbing the game on PC the only way to play is with a G25 setup or similar !!! theres never been a better excuse to sell the wife and kids to buy a decent wheel

shamelessly borrowed from US forums heres a picture that brings good news

Got my copy this morning, friend called me from his shop to say it had arrived!. Had a quick blast before heading off to work. Only annoyance is the POV switch on my G25 is constantly stuck in the down position in NFS:S making menu navigation a pain. Doesnt happen in any other games.

Looks stunning though, and my first car of choice for career mode was the Focus ST :D

throw up some pics please .. oh and the obligitory loaf of bread+box :D

the wait for this game is getting painful !!! roll on 12:00pm thursday !!!

some ingame footage from PC around laguna Seca in first video... scenery looks impressive and the gameplay very smooth ..
