I think they have blocked it. Did the same for someone else.
It did it when it was first linked too so guess it was already blocked in that case then when first added here. Shame as would have had a few weeks worth of stuff to watch.
Are you trying to sign up on a windows pc or laptop by any chance? When i tried to sign up on my win 10 laptop i experienced what you found, so i tried it with my iphone and was able to complete the signup process, and i then signed in on my LG smart tv.
It doesn’t on mine but it works with my cheap under £300 LG tv and it works on the PS5. Failing that Firesticks are dirt cheap.The Apple TV app doesn't work on my two sony OLED's

As above if you are using pihole/adblock plus or other custom DNS, it may just be getting blocked.
I had this when trying to sign up to paramount via my Roku.

Tried clearing cache/cookies?

What I’ve done to get round it is do family sharing for up to 5 family members.

Have you tried creating a new apple account and linking payment etc, then use the link in the same browser instance which should just auto signin?
