Signed up for the Apple TV 5 month trial on my PC with no problems at all.
***Edit*** Had a look at the confirmation email from Apple TV and it's actually a weeks free trial followed by a five month free trial so even longer. Had a look at what they have and there are some decent looking series on there including David Attenborough's Prehistoric Planet.

Free Triai might be good for someone
So used Edge tonight to try again with sign up for Apple TV. Finally got through agreement. Now need to give a payment option. Do so it then says that they need to authenticate payment (just using my barclays). Problem now is it says it requires Mac OS to use Mac App Store which clearly don't have.
How have Windows users got around this part?

Not for me either.
My impression of Apple TV is that in a lot of ways it is similar to Prime Video and a lot of stuff needs further subscriptions which of course costs more money. I can't see me sticking with it for long as there is a very limited amount of content that we are interested in. At least it's free I suppose.
There are like 3 movies and 5 series I'd like to watch but not for the price they want cause after that I'm done with it all.
The ultimate question is. Is this just a temp bump before the wave of cancellations start to happen after 1 or 2 months?
Why would people sign up, then decide to quit? Surely they would just quit when the crackdown starts?
Because thats what people did before didnt they? Binge everything, once the good show is done then quit.

That’s why a minority do, most people can’t be bothered and just leave it rolling, seriously Netflix know what they are doing!
Can't be bothered to login and press 3 or 4 buttons that takes all of 30 seconds?

Yes, so that's a completely different thing then and not relevant. They aren't trying to stop that. If it happened before, it will probably still happen and they're fine with that.
