New Gaming Rig Advice..

So you're looking at something similar to this (Risking either - Corsair or Team Group 3200):
My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £565.22
(includes shipping: £12.30)

Looks great!

Got a question though, is there any difference between "Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16W 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) Vengeance LPX DDR4 Memory Kit - White" to
"Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) Vengeance LPX DDR4 Memory Kit - Black" ?

I'm seeing different weights for both and different dimensions when I'm viewing their product details.

Where are you viewing? Because if the batches of memory are the same - the only difference should be is that the heatsink is a different colour.

I'll take a look after lunch - stomach has finally laid down some demands.

But rule of thumb is go to the Corsair site and check that their aren't any revisions.

Product dimensions don't even make sense on the red set (10cm x 5cm x 5cm?) - i wouldn't be concerned.

Sometimes they measure the packaging :/

If there's one component that has the potential to cause you hassle in a new build it will usually be the MB or the more likely, the memory (ruled out the PSU as you already have it/tested).

Personally, i would pay the slight premium for ease of return - but not because of odd product dimensions - just because memory is a bitch.

So list all the components, including ones you already have.

N.B. - You'll only be installing one stick at the beginning of the build and flashing to the latest BIOS straight away.

Right I have..

NZXT S340 Case
Gigabyte Gaming 3 B350 Motherboard
GTX 1070 Armor
16GB 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance RAM
Ryzen 1600 CPU with Wraith Cooler.
550W XFX Pro Power Supply
250GB Samsung SSD
1TB 7200rpm Seagate HDD

Think that's everything...

That's a very healthy spec - and if you can get your memory @ 3200 (by some fluke or after the May update) or even close to 3000Mhz (you'll need enter the timings/frequency manually) - that may even steam roller over some of the stuttering issues with some of your games (along with a mighty gaming CPU and SSD) ;)
