I think it's 3 days before they will despatch it. They reckon mine will be sent off tomorrow, so I'm still ahead ;)

At least they're shipping in 3 days now.. I felt like crying when I saw 4-6 weeks
 
Yeah the sites changed to 3 days now, hopefully mine comes before everyone else so I can rub it in... :( Mine should be shipped Monday, or hopefully tomorrow :)
 
oh it's tempting, the 17" has always tempted me and my 15" (early first gen) is getting quite old, I think the true HD screen might tip the balance but it's a hell of a lot of cash configured up (I figure I want the 7200rpm drive and probably the 4GB ram...)

so tempting...

I'm getting a maxed 17".. will be happy to answer any questions for you if you're considering the same purchase :)
 
I won't have Aperture.. but I could do some of CS3

I'll be getting the glossy finish if that's going to matter.. I find it superior to the matte finish now! :)

The RAM must be still be cheaper bought separately, ie not from Apple :)

Mine should be sent on Monday as I ordered it Wednesday. I think they almost always come before the estimated delivery date.
