** NEW SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G7/G9 MONITORS 27-49" AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER **

this is ridiculous for a launch of a product for one that was originally announced for a june release date its looking like i may be cancelling my preorder as a 2-4 week delay on top of what i have already waited isnt good enough placed my order on 5th june could see through it if it was only a small amount of money but for 1300 to already be taken out of your account for a product that is missing deadline after deadline its always brilliant when a pre order is actually later than what the general release of a monitor is makes you wonder why you would actually preorder :( what i also dont like is i spoke to 1 rep today who told me there was no eta on when stock would be back in to hear someone a few posts up be told by another rep that it wont be for 2-4 weeks seems as if they are pulling random numbers out of a hat now
 
honestly its making me cautious that they are going to keep delaying it over and over..I dont have a lot of money as it is so £1300 was a huge chunk to pay out with absolutely nothing to show for it...

When I called this morning to find out my position in the queue, I was also told there was no ETA. That said, perhaps they got an ETA after you and I called and gave that information to bluebell88?

It is pretty frustrating that Samsung are being so slow, but under the circumstances, although upsetting, on one hand I guess it's understandable. On the other hand though, it would have been far better if Samsung had just come clean and said that they were not ready to allow suppliers to put out prices for pre-orders and instead gave a better estimate of when the monitor would be ready rather than allowing so many people to pre-order with no sign of when the orders can be fufilled.

id like to just point blame at samsung on this but oc has to accept some of the blame here also likes of order page has no form of estimated delivery date at any point of the order and are in no way informing anyone that has ordered the item how far away or what is happening in the process, even on the order page atm you are simply met with a pre order screen no information on when to expect or anything of the sorts, on many reddit posts i am seeing others who have ordered there item much later than what i have already receiving there items that they have placed with other retailers so it may have been the case that oc has indeed ordered 150 in total now but they may have done this bit by bit until they got to that number hence the delay some clarity from an oc rep on this would be appreciated as the lack of info right now isnt good enough

Yeah, even if they don't have any ETA information, it would be good if OC could put a statement on the Odyssey product pages to that they have a backlog of pre-orders with no ETA from Samsung as to when future batches will arrive, or the size of those batches.

Would be a useful service to add your order in the queue by OCuk in the order page. Save us asking over and over.
Alright, I'm probably blind, but I can't find the order page that you are referring to.

Edit: lol, I just realised I misread what you had written, yes I agree, such a feature would be great!
 
Hey OverClockers the people have spoken. A statement about these monitors would greatly be appreciated. Your loyal customers have decided to spend their hard earned money with you in these crazy times. Don't let them down now with silence :)
 
yeah...I find it a little bit frustrating watching the stock (for all 3 monitors) coming into UK distribution stock and then clearly going out to all the other retailers to fulfil their orders, but OCUk have delays till end of the month and with not knowing where you are on the list, you may not even get delivery from that batch so could be waiting till mid august.
 
Would be great to get an update ordered on the 22nd of june based on what the other guy said im around 60 in the que. I have a conspiracy theory though I think these monitors could be so good at gaming that the esports teams went under the table to samsung and suppliers to buyout thats why were seeing a worldwide shortage at launch.
 
turning into a bit of a saga now this is, why the world wide distribution problems with these monitors? can't all be down to Covid-19 surely?

Sorry I missed your post. Yeah I called this morning at around 8:45am and was told no ETA, so I expect they got an ETA by the time that you called. Still 2-4 weeks wait for the G9 batch and no idea of the quantity coming through in that time is disappointing.

someone i talk to said they got off the phone about 40 minutes ago and was told no ETA
 
Please don't spam the call lines :( That helps no one. I am sure they want to get the units out and will be transparent when they can be. Nik has tried to keep us informed but it sounds like they are in the dark as much as us.
