Wow, big bucks!!!! They're crazy!
I've seen ads with Netflix advertising Discovery along with all the other Trek series, so that $50 mil probably included the rights to have all the other Trek series in the Netflix library.

I dont think it matters though given by the series trailer it seems the entire show will be completely different than the first two episodes.I am not sure if they could have made a worse star trek if they tried.
So the first two episodes were just a movie?I dont think it matters though given by the series trailer it seems the entire show will be completely different than the first two episodes.
So I guess we all watch ep 3 to figure out what this show is ultimately wanting to be.
I liked it a lot and will carry on watching.
The 1st scene definitely had the diversity box being ticked though.
Essentially Episode 3 is the real pilot and episodes 1&2 were a prologue setting up Michael Burnham and who she is.So the first two episodes were just a movie?
Deep sleep 9? The only good bits were a clear reaction to Babylon 5 in my opinion!

Honest trailer of the next gen on YouTube - pure gold!
Interested to see where they will take this next episode. I assume they will be different to the first two?
Has Michael been mentioned before now, surely she would have been mentioned given her history and relation to Spock/Sarek?
