NFL 2021 Season

Yeah, I can't decide with Fields. Like Lamar Jackson, some of the things you see them do are ridiculous and you think about how you'd love to have them on your team, but these things are now and then happenings that you can't really control and actually, it's more important to have someone that can stand in the pocket and sling it about the place with some consistency. I've not followed them enough to know if he can do that. His (passing) numbers look average for the year?

Fields had some horrendous red flags last year, including accuracy and pass choices. There was a four game stretch this year from the Texans to the Commanders games where Fields (and Getsy) really started to improve, quite dramatically. Including Fields being about the only positive offensive factors in that Cowboys game. I do think he's shown more than enough for the Bears to build around this coming season (i.e. not quickly drop for a rookie QB like Darnold or Rosen) but I'm not 100% certain he will make it yet. Albeit there are some really exciting things about him. His passing numbers are low and I can't think of many games where he goes over 250yds but he has made some good passes. In his defence he's had a very poor QL with a lack of weapons and some p*** poor play calling for the first year and a bit of his career.

If the Bears wanted to move on (and I genuinely don't think they do) now would be the time to trade. He has value and you have the 1st rounder to select the next QB. But I think what they probably want to do is trade back and draft in the trenches first (OL or DL). We have so many holes that increasing future draft picks will be beneficial, if possible.

Although this is a vital offseason for the Bears. Poles did clear $85m in dead cap space and we now have the largest salary cap space of anyone. Added to this 1st draft pick. All great but you have to execute well, muck this up with over priced FA's or a injured draft pick and it'll be bad news.

Think Dolphins will cut ties with Tua Tagovailoa at the end of the season? With the concussion incidents and entering final year of Rookie contract?

It's tough. I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire very early (I'm not saying now) after 3(?) concussions in this one season.
Yeah I’m beginning to think they will. Though health of a player should be paramount.
I’m a Fins fan, he won 8 of our 9 games as QB this season, he had a wicked left arm throw when he was on it. Not saying he was the best but what a tragedy to go have a short career like that.
But living a life healthy is the most important decision.
Expecting a mauling off Bills tomorrow. I

It's a shame as it could have been a good match up with Tua and Josh for a few years to come and he seemed like a good guy. But yeh, he's got to look after his own health first and 3 concussions in a season isn't good.
On the plus side, you guys seem to struggle to score without him which will hopefully make our job easier tonight!

Yeah, I still think Purdy could be their undoing. Don't get me wrong, he's good. For a 3rd string he's pretty amazing, but at the same time, he's missing a few that you would want him to hit, but he gets carried by the talent around him IMO. (Mind you, I said similar about Montana  That often doesn't go down too well!)

They have had a very easy schedule, haven't faced any of the high powered AFC offences bar the Chiefs who stuffed them.

Having said that they will only face them or a Buffalo, Bengals in the SB so they have every chance to win it all.

I've said this before, but personally think the Niners are the most trustworthy NFC team. Particularly after that putrid Vikings games against GB a few weeks ago...'did not like that' Cousins. Eagles will be more interesting. Niners seem to be consistent under Lynch but they look more SB-than ever this year; that D, so many offensive weapons. Purdy and their offense yesterday was superb.

they didn't half mess things up with taking so long, wasting timeouts, delay of game pens
Yeah, I couldn't believe with 4th and inches, some extra time while they sorted the clock... they still got a delay of game penalty...

Yeah, definitely the Vikings are an up and down team, but if they could string together maybe 3 quarters of up, they could beat the Niners.

Vikings gone, Giants were really good, kept Jefferson under control and bar TJ no one else did much at all.

So Eagles v Giants

49ers v Cowboys or Buccs

Disney stuff if Niners somehow win the SB

The secondary is so bad when the d line don’t generate pressure. It showed badly prior to the turnover against Seattle and they played super soft scared of the big play because of it

Reckon the Chiefs would rinse them again, albeit they have a lot less injuries now and CMC. Could hang about in a shoot out a bit better but wouldn’t be optimistic.

Giants will be tough, them or Eagles are pretty good
