NFL 2021 Season

Why does everyone who bangs on about Mahomes not having weapons like other QB's, last night saying he had no one after they lost a few WR's to injury, why do they seem to conveniently forget or fail to mention he has the best Tight End to ever play the game, a player who is probably better than 99% of any WR playing now.
He's at least the 5th best receiver in the game currently.

Brady only ever had a decent TE, bit more at Tampa. Mahomes fan boys need to come back when he has a few more rings

It was like that lob pass he did a month or so ago, everyone raved about it, best play ever, only Mahomes can do that, Carr literally did it the following week, not for a TD but a completion an decent play, but it was met with, well that was a risky play, shouldn't be doing that, just get rid of it.
Total over reaction for a pass I could have done.

Only thread I could find.

I never watch this sport or have any interest in it, but I heard from someone (very clever) that Chiefs will win tonight and in his own words 'he has watched every single game of theirs this season and analyzed how they play' and he's put a 4 figure bet on them.

Need a 2nd opinion from OcUK before I decide if I should back them. :P

On a serious note (the game is tomorrow, so the Chiefs can't win tonight) honestly I would question that your friend is that clever. Yes, the Chiefs could very easily win, but so could the Eagles. The Chiefs have Maholmes, which means they are always in with a chance, but the Eagles are technically a better team.

It's a little like betting on a coin toss if you're literally picking a winner. Even if you win, you'll likely not even double your money, surely? Bet on a score or margin of victory and you might get lucky, or throw in Chiefs to win, and the game to have more than 60 points, or something like that.

Personally, I think the Eagles will win 38 - 31.

(Out of interest, how many Eagles games has your friend watched?)

He's not a friend, someone I only met yesterday playing poker ha. But from what I gathered he made some wise decisions previously (crypto and shares) to enable him to not have to work and just travel, and is very mathematical in his thought process.

Not sure about Eagles but he was very confident he did the research and it was all pointing to a Chiefs win. Yea said he put £1.1k to get £2.1k back.

After what you have said I'm not too sure anymore... What about instead of a winner, just the 2nd half to have more points than the 1st? Similar odds and from my own research seems a more common occurrence than not?

I wouldn't say it really works like that though. All too often the numbers suggest one thing might happen, but then another happens... (possibly because one team realises the numbers suggest something so they do something different to lessen the effect) What I do know is, people often get excited by a super powerful offence and underestimate what a great defence sometimes does to them. The Eagles have the better D and the better line (both sides of the ball) so that would be where my cash would be.

Yeah maybe. Or just find online roulette and stick some cash on 'black' :p If it's a shootout, yes, probably the 2nd half has more points. If one team gets a lead, maybe they slow the game down and then there are not as many points...
