Nintendo messed up with their last console the Wii U. So I understand why they are porting many of the games from that console to this one. They want to make money off the games they spent time developing and not a lot of people got to experience them.
I wouldn't have an issue with that if they didn't charge full price for older games or they put in even a little effort to justify the costs. Skyward sword sold 3.4m copies on the Wii by 2011 which I assume was not great but they have sold it on the Wii U and now the Switch at full price and they have done basically nothing to improve it. I would bet my life that any bugs in the original are still present in this one.
As I said, Links Awakening was a fantastic remake and worth every penny. Its a cracking game that they put a lot of love into. I don't care if Nintendo doesn't make as much as they want from a game. I don't expect to be fleeced 10 years later for exactly the same game. In the last 5 years, Nintendos value has increased 4.5 fold. They are rolling in it. They aren't some poor little company that is trying to make ends meet and recover losses to stay afloat.
