*** Nintendo Switch ***

It was free for me a few weeks back to but not my gf I assume you have the other version of the Witcher 3 on the switch?
Ah, yes, I have the complete edition.

I saw other games on sale that had 'purchased' on them, thought it would be the same with Witcher, but that just said free for some reason

Just completed Bowsers Fury and I'm a little confused by the end game. I wanted to collect all the cat shines but every time I "fight" bowser it takes me through the final ending again. If you don't want to do that you just have to put up with him popping up every few minutes when you are trying to complete shines. Seems like an odd thing to keep happening after you have completed it once already.

Never expected Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition to be that hard to pick up a copy but more fool me for sleeping on it I guess!

If anyone’s selling a copy (or know of anywhere that’s selling it for relatively cheap), then let me know.

The game is short though so it will probably only annoy you once or twice? He disappears if you collect a shine. You need him to appear to collect some of them.

By the way, does anyone else think Pokemon Legends Arceus was originally intended to come out THIS year for the Pokemon 25th celebration events (possibly explaining the lazy state of Sword/Shield), but has been delayed until early next year due to the impacts of COVID on GameFreak/Japan etc?

The way everything is going, it kinda feels like Pokemon Snap, Unite, the Pearl/Diamond Remake AND Arceus Legends were all meant to land this year as part of the big year of celebrations; but with the situation its got pushed back for more development time as it's just no where near ready yet; which could be seen as much by the early tech demo they showed. The release date of 'Early 2022' so close after the Pearl/Diamond remake makes me think this was the initial plan, and then things got jiggered around by the impact of COVID on game development and involved studios.

Pearl/Diamond has already been farmed out to Ilca to free up manpower at Gamefreak, Pokemon Snap to Bandai, Pokemon Unite to Timi, and Crown Tundra for Pokemon Sword/Shield released October last year; meaning that theoretically it'll be well over a year, probably year and a half plus of dev time since we saw anything major out of Gamefreak.

Given we know Gamefreak run a smaller team than most studios making AAA (or meant to be AAA) games, it just seems very logical to me; end of the year/Holiday Season of the Pokemon 25th would have made a LOT of sense to roll out a big new Pokemon game that at least gives an initial appears of trying to move the series forward somewhat/showing a LITTLE ambition to be more like the open world game Pokemon fans have been hoping for for years. Fingers crossed they allow the needed time, and bring/have brought in more staff to do this properly.

I genuinely wonder how long they've been working on this game though!

Ordered a physical copy of Hades today. Been keen to try it out and had decided that the Switch would be the best place for me to get it. A reasonable priced deal came up and I do like to own cartridges even if the digital copies are more convenient. Something in me is a bit of a Nintendo collector and if I were to go all digital then I think I'd feel wrong? Not sure if that makes sense to anyone out there!

I do the same, I like physically owning the games I enjoy.

I also prefer physical ownership (if nothing else it means I can trade games on later also), only exception is digital only and Animal Crossing due to the sort of game it is.

Yeah I was quite happy having the digital Animal Crossing that came with my AC version Switch. The other main game I bought digital was Mario Kart which I wasn't sure about but again, for the type of game it's probably better to be digital.

I am finding that I don't vary what I'm playing as much as a result though, but I quite like sticking with things longer to make decent progress before moving on to the next thing.

Cancelled my MH: Rise + controller pre-order as Capcom has confirmed a PC release for next year..so i'll be waiting for that instead.
Feel like i'm still waiting for a major game to play on Switch again (Bayonetta 3)
