*** Nintendo Switch ***

LOVE the switch, owned one at launch, sold it as was skint not long after and recently just picked up a new oled model :) im only interested in the nintendo exclusive games, all other games i play on pc
so far im loving pokemon sword which has been a massive shock to me as never played a pokemon game before ( at the age of 42 i thought it may be to childish lol) but man its addictive,
also LOVE mario kart and splatoon 2 for my online fix, im not to bad at these either and mostly hold my own ;)

Looking forward to splatoon 3 this year and will defo be picking up botw 2 although i havent started playing botw yet, i do own it though, so far i have a collection of 8 exclusive games, well, 7 as animal crossing is the wifes,
and enjoy them all, ive always been a nintendo fan though from the nes days all the way through.

Oh, super smash bros, man is that a hard game!!! never really got into smash bros before as again thought it might be childish but woooh, people online are AMAZINGLY good at this, im still yet to get a win and have
realised there is more to this game than i thought.

Let me know if you want to play online together.

Direct coming today at 10PM.

Don't get your hopes up because they are almost always crap but fingers crossed for something Zelda related.

Sounds like its first half of 2022 focussed but a man can dream.

Will be a bunch of Indie titles, ports and maybe another drop of what's coming to Switch Online Exp pack.

Nothing major unfortunately.

Won't be watching but I'll check tomorrow for any major news. I'm well set on games for a while so don't need a new release imminently, though I appreciate there's been a bit of a drought for those who've completed things faster than me :p

If they don't announce anything more for botw2, when would they? Given the release date is supposed to be this year. What other event would they announce it?

Probably around August or a Direct during E3. I be very surprised if it comes out this year.

I think it probably will come out this year but ready for Christmas. Everything we know about the game suggests that it shouldn't have taken anywhere near this long to make so I doubt they teased it prematurely.

Yeah I'm hoping November release. Just bought botw1 to replay to hell over the next couple months, will give me a nice gap and then ready for botw2.

Tbh I'm grateful they are doing something similar to how they did majoras mask. Even then 5 years feels more than you'd expect

What did they do for Majoras Mask. I never played zelda before BOTW.

They made OOT and then straight away made majoras mask in the exact same engine with basically no upgrades. It was almost like having a dlc of oot, just it being a full big game. As a result, majoras was release just 2 years after oot

Personally I prefer this. I don't understand this constant need for graphics and everything to improve. If you've got something that runs fine, sure make tweaks, but just give me a new game quicker, focus on the story, and forget this need to have a new engine for each new game release.

BOTW isn't just the same engine, its based in the same world/map with some additions from what we know so far.

We honestly don't know nearly enough to know how much transfer across. Though I expect you're some what right, I am also willing to bet only small areas match what was there before. If they bring out the exact same map, I don't think many would be too happy with that.
