So i'm a bit confused. Is it £24.99 for the whole 6 sets of MK8 courses or £24.99 for each one. I assume the former.

Very pleased that they are finally adding more courses to it.

It's included with the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass, or £24.99 for all 48 courses.
 
I thought Nintendo would make more use of the expansion pack, nice to see the extra tracks in Mario Kart. I wouldn't bother buying them but will play them since they are included in my sub. And so will everyone who is part of my family membership, the expansion isn't looking as bad as everyone made out now.

No Man's Sky looked very nice, was that in game engine footage?

Switch Sports looks pretty basic but I'll probably pick it up as would be a fun one with the kids, the Wii was before their time.

This could be their plan, using the expansion pak for actual game expansions as part of the sub.
 
The Mario Kart expansion was enough for me to sign up to the online expansion pack. Hope we get more perks and further games.

This way Nintendo still get you buying the original game and then paying the sub for the additional content, smart move on their part.

We will have to see what additional content comes out over the months ahead.

If you have a family pass it's good value, my mum is part of mine and we both play Animal Crossing and Mario Kart so is worthwhile.

A cynical man might say that the expansion pass hasn't done as well as Nintendo expected and this is to try and get a lot more people on it...

The trailer just cracked me up. It was very much written by someone who doesn't know anything about football and assumed that the audience didn't either. :p

Good because I would reckon that we have another 2+ years for MP4 if we ever see it on the Switch.

I don't think so, I think the expansion pass just hasn't been very popular and they are trying to get more subs. If the sub is tied to your access to those new tracks then after 3 years they will have taken £48 from you instead of £20ish and you still won't own that expansion if you ever stop paying.

Might be wrong. This is Nintendo we are talking about thought.

I don't think they added Mario Kart tracks on a whim to the expansion pack, the Animal Crossing dlc looked like the first of many add-ons that would come via this route. Maybe BotW2 dlc will be on here too in future.

Despite the negative press I bet more people signed up than you may think, like you say it's Nintendo, how many times can we buy the same games? Infinity and forever it seems. :D

I get what you mean about ownership, but also factor in multiple people in one family group and it's not a bad price but yes if you stop paying you lose access. That's the same as PS+ and Game Pass, both of which I have subscribed to for years and am unlikely to stop.
 
Most exciting thing for me was confirmation of NMS finally coming to Switch - will be a day one purchase for me, blow the dust off my Switch.
