I have Metroid Prime Remastered but i have not started because of TOTK and from playing Metroid games before they are require pretty decent sessions to enjoy. I am looking for a reasonably priced copy of Mario Kart and i havnt played Mario Odessey as i would have thought that was similar to previous Mario games that were not really pick up and play for a short amount of time.

Never been a fan of Smash bros games its just not for me really.

The Switch is a pick up and play console and that is what is so great avbout it... No difference bwteen a 5 minute Mario sesh and a 5 hour one. Just put the console to sleep and wake it up when you are ready to play again

I just got a Switch for my son (8 years old). Having never played on one or set one up, what is the best way to do it?

How do the accounts work?
Should I have a main account and he is a user, or should he have his own account?

Be great if someone can tell me the best practice.

Create accounts for multiple users and you can create a Nintendo account for online and link it.

I have a Switch Lite, but I've been considering getting a Switch for my TV. Is there any reason to get the OLED if I'll only play on a TV?

I don't need ethernet, and if I want to play on the move I'll just use the Lite.

If you got the OLED you may not bother with the Lite. The bigger screen and better colours etc will likely have you preferring to play handheld on that.

Digital foundry goes as far to say if you play any of the games made by this developer you are doing the equivalent of licking a dirty toilet bowl and the Nintendo shop has become a certified trash pile of junk games like this

How do you feel about rougelikes? Risk of Rain (the first one) or Binding of Isaac are both superb games for the Switch imo. Could be pushing it a little over the time frame for a single run of either but both have natural break points where you could pause and resume later if needed.

Will consider it. As stupid as it sounds i actually used to like Cooking Mama games for a quick blast in my lunchtime lol they were great fun.

I have managed to get Mario Kart and will probably pickup Advanced Wars Reboot some time. I just like the idea of little puzzle/time wasting games while using the switch in handheld and the bigger games on my TV using the bluetooth controller as my hands cramp up a bit with the joycons.

Good point. How much is a second hand Lite worth? I could sell it and put the money towards an OLED. I can give it to my nephew if it isn't worth much.

I was gonna sell my lite when I got the OLED but ended up gifting it to my 5yr old nephew.

Think the price varies depending on colour and where you sell it.

Advanced Wars is a good shout for your scenario. Picked it up myself but yet to play it so I might need to start an over lunch play through as well.

Depending on colour and condition, between £90 and £140 I think

I did the same move, from Lite to full size, and went for the OLED. Absolutely no regrets, never really play docked but it's nice having the option.

Picked up Metroid Prime Remastered and FF7/FF8 in the Prime Sales.
Metroid arrived yesterday, first time I've ever played a Metroid game and I'm immediately hooked, no idea why I left this so long to play!

Enjoy MP, it's a great game. Some of the bosses can be quite hard depending on which you difficulty you choose.
